Sorry to hear the paediatrician did not call back, hopefully you will get some answers today.
How exciting about the house. I live on a very busy A road in a 30mph zone, I think there are 12,000 car movements per day and I honestly don't notice the traffic noise. When I first moved in I was dreading it but after a few days I got used to it. If there is an accident that shuts the road i find it too quiet to sleep!!
Even in my garden I don't notice the noise unless a visitor mentions it.
The only thing I do notice is emergency services, if I hear 1 I don't think too much of it but if 3 or 4 go by I know there has been a big accident.
The only downside is that if I walk my dogs during rush hour it can take up to 5 minutes for a break in the traffic both ways for me to walk across but that's a very minor niggle.

Thank you all xx
DS has gone to school today and seems ok. The paediatrician called this morning after my email to them. They said it was never their intention to call me, but to discuss DS between them and I must have misunderstood, err...no.
I have chased the EA, still no news on whether my offer has been accepted, they haven't heard back from the vendors. I find it odd that someone is desperate to sell their house as they already have another in mind, have 'pulled an all nighter' to get it ready for me to view before putting it on the market, yet then don't bother to respond to an offer, or is that just me?! You may recall someone left me waiting two weeks last year before responding to an offer, by which time I was so annoyed with their behaviour of trying to play people off against each other that it completely ruined the house for me. I purposely accepted my buyer's offer within an hour or two of them making it, I know how horrible it is to be left waiting. I feel physically ill to be honest, I can feel the stress of everything getting to me. I've been awake since 4am again this morning.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,956.86

I totally sympathize the waiting is dreadful,so stressful, I had viewers last Friday rang EA yesterday for feedback - nothing haven't been in touch!! I'm not expecting them to put an offer in but its the waiting!! They say "no news in good news" THEY are obviously not buying or selling a house!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you x0

It is really stressful Four_Seasons, I feel for you. I hope you get some feedback soon, either the house for them or it isn't so I don't understand why people won't give feedback, unless the agent hasn't requested any from them yet. The whole process is stressful enough without people playing games, I just couldn't do it to someone.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,956.86

Finally heard from EA viewers have bought another property, I expected that but still disappointed at least there is no more waiting - well until the next time. Hope you hear about your offer soon and don't have another night waiting and worrying. x1

Sorry to hear that Four_Seasons, it’s so disappointing isn’t it. How long has your house been on the market? If it’s any consolation, things aren’t on the market long in our part of the World so I have everything crossed for you that a sale happens soon. XxMortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,956.86

My first offer on the house was rejected, I had to offer them full asking price which was another £5K which I did and they accepted. 😊 I hope the mortgage valuation says it’s worth that amount though as it does need some work done and I think it’s around £5K overpriced tbh, but that’s the way the market is at the moment here. I have mixed feelings. We do like the house very much, I just have to steel myself to get in there and get the jobs done that need doing, the garden and a bit of render repair being the main issues. It would have been easier if everything was done but then I guess the price would have been a lot higher.
It’s £57,000 cheaper than my house, so initially I will be knocking a huge chunk off the mortgage whilst keeping some back for fixing it up, but I need to speak to my mortgage advisor first to decide which is the best method of porting the mortgage and paying off a chunk without early repayment fees. My appointment is booked in for next week. That all depends on the survey coming back ok though and everything else going to plan...Oh, and I’ve paid the credit card off with savings, so am £600 down, but wanted the credit card cleared before sorting the new mortgage.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,956.86
