Debt Collectors (DRP & ZZPS) What they don't want you to know

Comments

  • Just received a claim from BW Legal for £160. £100 parking fine and £60 add-on, now threatening court.
we haven't contacted anyone, but are nervous this will go to court. trouble is we were abroad when the incident took place and cannot find out how our car got to the car park, obviously one of our kids, but none of them are admitting.
Question....do we continue to ignore, or contact BWL and tell them to prove we drove the car into the car park?

NEWBIES - HOW TO UPLOAD LINKS TO PHOTOS/SCANS TO MSE

To upload a photo/scan link, you first need to host it on a free photo hosting site (like Dropbox, Imurg or Tinypic), copy the URL, paste it here, but change the http to hxxp and we'll do the conversion. Newbies can't directly upload links to photos/scans until they've a few posts under their belt.

    Hi all,
On the £60+ being added by debt collectors in their first communication to you, do we have any experience of this being reported to Trading Standards as a Misleading Action (Price) under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008? If so, any evidence of outcome of investigation?

Is  this a matter for TS?  I would think the caveat emptor applies.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Since the 2008 SI indicates that a misleading claim on price is a criminal matter, to be enforced by the relevant authority, no it is NOT a case of buyer beware but rather State be active.

Ff TSOs  had to intervene in these matters Councils would have to sack most of the Diversity Co-ordinators.

I'm really not sure what your're saying here and I'm not sure I want to know what you're trying to say.

What I am saying is that it is unlikely that Councils would have the money to do what you suggest.  I have made dozens of complaints to TS, few have been acted upon.
