  • I'm sorry if I offend those who like the current style, but I hated both of those "developments".

It just seemed to me that they completely over-developed each property. I mean ..... they created designer-WAG-wouldbemillionaire properties in far, far more modest properties in far, far more modest areas.

Expensive bad taste springs to mind .... sorry.

Any buyer would be ripping out the kitchens within 10 years as they will be "sssssooooooo 2007" and completely "unfashionable".

    Madness .... or am I just a GOW? (Don't answer that - I know I am ;) )
    Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac ;)

What was happening under the other house's viewing platform decking? I bet 40 trolls could live under there happily.

We're going to have quite a lot of decking, on Theupsidedownhouse (all the walls have gone, inside, now - electrician & heating goes in next week) leading down to the hot tub.

If we end up £8000 under budget, we can have a tub!!

& as for develpment 'mistakes' in the series - what about the guy that bought the old barge, spent forever welding the rusty hull, had no idea of a design, not a clue where to moor it (big thank you to the researchers on the prog that found him somewhere I bet)...& STILL made some £$£$

I kinda liked that guy. He worked very hard, stuck pretty much to his budget, was open to suggestion, and admitted his mistakes. He really did luck out. Although, I don't know what would've happened if the show hadn't found him a mooring spot.

But what is happening UNDER your new decking? Will small woodland creatures live there, or are you encouraging monsters? I would be terrified to go under that deck for fear of what I might encounter......we all know trolls live under bridges, but they might be moving to larger premises!

sooz, we have plenty of trolls here. I'm sure you can cope with a couple under your decking ;)
