It is definately on More4 on another day. Don't know which :o

EDIT: There's one on Thursday at 9pm? "Sarah Beeny continues with more lambs to the property slaughter."

OH insisted on watching a Celtic game. So, could somebody recap what happened tonight?

My favorite was these two girls - one American - who bought some crappy mid-terrace and were immediately offerered 40% more by their solicitor. They turned that down and then renovated it very stupidly. In the end, they only made money because the market was so hot. They would have made more had they done nothing.

Am I to understand that this is on again on Thursday night?

What amuses me is how Sarah gives sensible, considered advice (usually), but because all the couples know better than her, they plough on with their madcap scheme anyway.

I know! I love it! I love when they get cross with her about it, and totally ignore her. The two girls I mentioned above were like this. They insisted on putting the kitchen in the middle of the house, with no windows, while putting in a utility room and bathroom at the back, overlooking the garden. They got really, really mad when she harped on them about it.

Usually it's because they're in over their heads by the time she's talking to them. "You know, you should consider putting the bedrooms here and the kitchen there" isn't going to be received well when they're already hip-deep in the project. They are no longer able to get any perspective on the project and are too bogged down to go back to the drawing board.

My favourite one was the couple in Islington who wanted to a turn a 1000 sq ft space into a luxury one bed flat. Above a buzzing bar. On Upper St.

They even spent 10K on a sound system - how on earth do you hope to recoup that in your selling price?

I know the episode the two women were... let's say more than 'Just good friends', one of them hurt her foot and put a bucket on her foot to protect it whilst demoloshing a fireplace(?) she was quite objectionable.

    Sarah was gorgeous though. :)

Are those the girls that lived in a tent in the bedroom and the one girl worked with her foot in a bcucket? With a massive utility in a tiny terrace. Oh and they chopped some of the bedroom to make a sort of hallway. It's all coming back to me!! :j They were so insistant they knew better than The Beeny.

Nothing beats the girls with the £2000 tiles for the underthestairs loo. Nothing.

    Beat you to it!

The 'tiles girl' was a good one, I thought the pink kitchen was 'interesting' but the living room was a sight to behold.

One of the sisters was 'hot' though.

Yes! Those were the ones! I loved their expressions when she told them they would have made more money by doing nothing.:rotfl:

Oh, and I almost posted earlier that my second favorite were the girls with the expensive handmade tiles. They were sisters, and the one so clearly was really more interested in playing at being an interior decorator than actually making money. She had "a vision" of how the place should look. It was truly lovely in the end, but I'm not sure I'd want to live in HER "vision." (And, anyway, were they selling the house fully furnished? Where does one find things to go with the chandeliers and that japanese-inspired wallpaper?)
