Amazon wil locntent
If you mean Amazon will simply contest the Chargeback, which the bank will then reverse, then I agree with you..katiekittykat wrote: »You need to report to the police now0 -
I wonder whether the rate of missing parcels is higher for those that contain items with certain batteries, and therefore have to have an external sticker on the packaging? That _could_ be signposting to certain individuals that the parcel is more likely to have a higher value item inside.0

I think there will also be lot of such thefts in which the original customer is complicit and so the contents will already be known by the thieves.
All this speculation is of no use to the OP of this thread, of course.:)0 -
Yes, you have.
At the time I posted the OP hadn't confirmed or denied having any delivery instructions set. So Jimmy's questioning was based on an assumption, hence my response.
OP said it twice before you (or jimmy) posted. Both in his OP and again in #17.Moneyineptitude wrote: »Since Amazon have already refused you a refund in the circumstances you describe, performing a "chargeback" will be futile as it will simply be reversed.
Not caring about your Amazon account potentially being closed is irrelevant.
The correct procedure now is to contact the Police..
The OPs bank shouldn't allow it to be reversed unless they have proof of deliveryYou keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
I'm just intrigued as to how the rogue delivery drivers / neighbours only seem to pinch expensive laptops and smartphones. Never seen a thread on here where aquarium sponge filters/ kids colouring books/ any of the myriad items that Amazon sell go AWOL when marked as delivered - just laptops and smartphones ......
My local postman say they know exactly what is in a parcel.Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0 -

I don't see why people are suggesting the OP gets the police involved.
The OP has a contract with Amazon to deliver the parcel to their house. Amazon haven't done this. It's a civil matter between the OP and Amazon (and the credit card company, if one was used).
Given that Amazon have admitted to not delivering to the OP's house then I don't see how it would be a difficult case for the OP to win.
Obviously if Amazon then suspect foul play then they might well get the police involved. But that's up to them.0 -

It's exactly what I'm thinking.
I'm try go to my local police station yesterday but they have open just to 6pm. Today I'm make chargeback claim and now im waiting for any update. Next think is in my opinion if Amazon want make reverse of that chargeback, they need to proof it they delivered that laptop to me. They can't do it becouse it's not my signature, adress and name on delivery. I go to police on Saturday anyway but we see how gonna be with that chargeback now.0 -

A friend of mine is the security compliance officer for an Amazon delivery contractor.
They have a ridiculous amount of iphone and S8 phones going missing as the staff throughout the chain know they are dispatched with a battery sticker and are always sent from Amazon Italy0
