  • I have to be careful how I word this, but MSE seem to have a problem when they get too many "reports" on certain threads/forums. I have a simple solution for them that has worked on other forums for years, don't have board guides have moderators who have more powers than just being able to close threads.
They have a massive problem with BG's anyway, they are either too active or invisible. But some do such a good job that they should have more powers i.e as mods.
I can go back many years(in internet time) to when I was a mod for an AOL site, it worked well, MSN iirc also had mods before they closed their forums/message boards down.

    I wouldn't report anyone Newshadow.

Good man Dave..Waste of time if you ask me. It's not like in real life where if some geezer gives you 'grief' you can give them a satisfying clump in the mush. As far as I'm concerned clicking the report button is like having sex without the orgasm.

Tried one of those once - it was quite sloppy.

Now thinking I did it wrong...
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

Ahh. Tom. Wasn't life simple when you and dreamnine advised on Neil Young, and that actually mattered to me. And then brexit occurred.
  • A "Ranters Corner" (or similar) - open to those who apply for access, after accepting that each is an adult who basically doesn't mind what is likely to be written therein, plus the usual disclaimers, (etc., etc.,), would be a good idea.

However, & with no disrespect at all to the poster who suggested as much, the idea that only 'someone with a 100 posts (plus sufficient 'thanks') to their nym', has anything worthwhile to add, is most questionable.
