The policy I believe is to list all providers but then give caveats according to customer feedback. This I presume is to allow you to make the trade-off between cost of the service and the potential hassles in dealing with problems. As I'm retired I have the time to spend berating customer service departments, but others may prefer a more expensive but hassle-free experience.0

I know they've had some issues (to say the least) with their new software recently but I left them around 10 months ago and they were excellent. I though everything had been resolved now?
Edit: NVM, just seen the Mobile forum and it looks like there's still issues.0 -
I have just been doing my annual search for the best deals and was surprised that there is no mention of the Quidco deal for NowTV on the MSE main site as it beats all the others by seemingly a long way.
~ Standard Broadband via Quidco (£100 cashback) which includes unlimited internet, anytime landline and mobile calls, 6 months 'free' NowTV, 12 month contract works out to £9.67/month
~ Fibre broadband via Quidco (£85 cashback) which includes unlimited internet, anytime landline and mobile calls, 6 months 'free' NowTV, 12 month contract works out to £17.91/month.
I am lucky enough to be close to the cabinet so find standard broadband with speeds of around 20mb/s is enough for me so no need to pay the higher fibre prices but my parents who I also sort out the internet for need fibre as they live a long way from the Cabinet and only get 2mb/s on standard internet.
Something that I thought was odd when searching for deals was that cashback seemed to be in most cases more for Standard broadband than for fibre broadband. In the past I have always found that fibre deals attract more cashback but that seems to be different this year for some reason.
The above offers expire via Quidco in 3 days, though I suspect given how much cheaper NowTV deals are, they must be trying to gain market share so they are likely to have other similar deals available very soon.
I don't have any experience of NowTV as a provider butthe MSE survery gave them 6.5/10 which was classed as a great rating for customer service so fingers crossed they are good for the next 12 months.0 -

MSE don't include cashback deals and never have as there's no guarantee they'll track.
I've just renewed with NowTV BB after my initial 12 months and have had no issues whatsoever. Easy to talk to as well.0 -

True True, estimated time on phone to query overcharge of over £500 was 42 minutes, it was actually 2 hours total time on phone. They did not carry out the promised credit and 3 further Looooonnnggg phone calls before sorted out.0 -
I have not see a genuinely cheap deal on MSE for over two years, not only have broadband companies stopped competing (they are like furniture companies that have same offers then put prices up for 28 days so they can say it is a discount), but MSE does not really offer anything on top like they used to.
With regard to cashback deals, MSE have had deals on here where you could get both.
We have a company that we formed that owns the freehold of our building, we are going to get a broadband for the building to the hallway and run it to each flat, probably business a business fibre from Zen.
We will get our money back from cost of wiring and routers within a year.0 -

I don't think that's restricted to MSE, it's just a sign of the times.
I was referring to external cashback sites, not MSE blagged deals. Can I get more cashback elsewhere?
Sometimes members of specialist cashback websites can be paid when they sign up to some products and services. Do check that it's exactly the same deal though, as terms can differ. Also remember the cashback is never 100% guaranteed until it's in your account.

Going back several years MSE 100% used to include cashback deals as I 100% know I signed up to deals that were highlighted on the MSE guide where they used to say you can get £x cashback from Quidco or TopCashBack etc.
I once thanks to the MSE guide actually got paid a small amount to have broadband and phone for the year. Those times are long gone now it seems.
Thanks for the feedback on Now TV BB - I am signing up today.0 -
No idea why people are complaining about plusnet here. I got the deal last June for ~ £12 per month for cheap broadband and had no problems at all but I am now looking to grab another deal. Thing is I might or might not be moving in a couple months (up in the air at the moment) so I have to factor in the best deal and also least break clause if I do need to leave early. The offers for shell and post office on the main website have big break clauses based monthly. Just having a chat with plusnet now see if they will offer me a deal to match.
EDIT: after a chat with plusnet on IM they can only offer £17 a month as best deal and still have a £12.15 monthly break clause for all months that are left on contract.0
