Sorry to bump this but have been thinking about it. Probably, too much.

Obviously, it's up to you whether or not continue. I do wonder, though, if you need to post it as much as you do. There's been discussion earlier in this thread about posters who we have no sympathy with - where they pretty much got what they deserved. There is one running at the moment.

If they write to their MPs mentioning the details of their case and the MP sees that they had been in flagrant breach it might dilute any support you get.

I understand it can be difficult to be sure of the facts - it's just a thought!

Understand what you say but each thread is like someone's
private domain as they are only interested in their problem.

We don't know how many other threads these people read
and one thread "NEWBIES" is very difficult to get others
to read first. One problem is using mobiles as apposed
to a real computer screen so a lot is missed.

Therefore, what The Deep is doing is a direct target
to that particular poster which gives the particular OP
a very high chance of reading it. And, it is indeed a very
important read and a video of what is happening at
    government level

As far as MP's are concerned, the video alone will
highlight the problem. We do know that there are
some very bad MP's around who actually should
do the job they are paid for and not to leave letters
    in their in tray

Maybe Mr Deep would consider what I do on this
forum and create an eye catching thread on the
same subject and then show the link.

This works and packs into one thread the info
    the reader wants.

EG: My thread "BWLegal - the list of failures growing"
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5672664/bwlegal-the-list-of-failures-growing&highlight=bwlegal

Every time I see a new user regarding BWLegal/Excel/VCS
I point to this thread and at the same time bump it up

It is the same when people are fed rubbish from PPC's
    and debt collectors about CCJ's
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5849106/the-ccj-myth-and-threats-and-lies-told-by-debt-collectors-and-ppcs-exposed&highlight=ccj

The same is now happening to CEL
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5858376/cel-have-become-over-active-with-their-hormones-again-junk

    Gladstones is the next:)

It just needs a new comment to take the thread back to the top

QDR ... AKA WRIGHT HASSALL will probably be next as well

As these threads have already been written, it's so easy
just to show a link so it saves time with constantly repeating

I agree entirely wih everything you say Neil.

But, even when the O/P brings about his/her own misfortune, it is not the case that the PPC is, in most cases, seeking excessive damages, making claims which it knows will not succeed, harassing tenants, acting without authority, abusing its power to accept genuine mitigation, etc., etc., etc.

The MP Can decide whether to help his constituent or not, and I have in fact not included the pro forma in some cases involving blaggers.

Beamer, I suspect that most of our clients only read their own post, they are probably unaware that I post to pro forma to nearly everyone. If it was in a link I think that they would be less likely to read it.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

  • It seems to me from threads I read that TD's proforma post is frequently well received. Don't think it's worthy of a complaint!

No doubt in that LOC .... the complainer probably is
from the other side, the darker side ?

I spent a lot of my working life in contact with MPs so I have a pretty good idea of how they act. They get an awful lot of mail so you need to get the message across succinctly. I'd be surprised if many of them would look at the video if they weren't aware of the issue or had a number of constituents raising the same thing. Again, I understand that every little helps.

To be honest, you might be better off starting a petition and suggest that posters here sign that. I suspect that a lot more might do this as opposed to, actually, taking the time to write to their MP. Assuming there isn't one already, that is!

    https://www.parliament.uk/get-involved/sign-a-petition/

You could then refer to it in each thread and suggest that an email with a link to the petition was sent to the MP. They might take more account if they see a lot of signatures.

Already been done and if I remember got to 10,000 signatures
    but nothing happened.

Sorry I do not have the faith you have for MP's

We just hope that Sir Greg Knight gets this right
