Should I wind my neck in?

There has been a complaint about my pro forma reply to punters advising them to watch the debate of Sir Greg Knight's bill and watch the video.

I am well aware that it is tedious, but, imo, the end justifies the means.

If only 10% of the people to whom it is directed write complaining to the MPs , if I post it 20 times a day, that is over 50 complaints to MPs a month. One stroppy MP can cause the PPCs a lot of hassle.

I am quite happy to call a day, but what do others think?

Carry on. Yes it's tedious for regulars but it needs doing.

Most posters here hit and run so to speak. They get their ticket sorted and you never see them again. To them it isn't tedious. It's new and informative.

If it isn't said the motivation to do anything more will soon wane.

Carry on TD I can't see why anyone would complain about that, I think it's relevant and hammers the point home to newbies.

Ah Deep, that really is out of order.

Yes you are repetitive but so am I and it's becoming more
    on a daily basis.

As the scamming PPC's hot this up, probably getting ready for
what could be a scuppering by government, in the meantime
we must point newbies to any source that can help

That government video is perfect to explain that government
is taking action and confirms everything we say on here

The problem with forums is that threads often vanish off the
radar and we need to keep this up front to help newbies to
save money and not to be scammed and just pay up.

That must be the core interest for MSE

Of course and as each new person is probably only
interested in their own thread, each newbie must be told
within their own thread ... that's what Sir Deep does in
    a totally professional way

Given the daily doses of ignorance/arrogance shown by many new posters here, then yes I don't see any issues with a basic pro-forma response.

However where one has taken the time to do the basic legwork and posted something that at least tries to help themselves, then in those cases, they deserve a more individual/measured response.

    So carry-on..! :)

    may I just add

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct

Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by Christmas.

Why not carry on, as you say the more people that contact their MP the better. But one should not contact Sir Greg Knight directly unless of course he is their MP, they should ask their own MP to give their support to the matter.

You could even start an online petition in support of the Bill and put a link to that in your post. 100,000 between Pepipoo and MSE is less than the combined membership.

I like the 'fair wind'! :D

Doesn't bother me if it gets repeated. I don't expect many regulars read it , DP, but it's not aimed at us.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
