    Morning folks

A nice productive evening last night. Roped OH into some batch cooking and got bits sorted for the week.

Tonight I am going to a foraging walk which I'm looking forward to.

    Today's list:
    • B/L/D from stores
    • Submit my timesheets on time to ensure I get my overtime pay!
    • Update card details with veg box supplier - done
    • Gym at lunchtime - done
    • Charge phone in work - done
    • Foraging walk
    • Scuffled a bit of cornflour through my roots in lieu of dry shampoo. Saved getting a shower just for slightly greasy roots. - done
    • Dehumidifier water and heating-up-the-shower water into the water butt. - done
    Not much at all here!

    Have a good one all

    * Continue to chase up travel expenses. Hmmmmm. Only a partial victory so far, I remain seriously out of pocket.

    * Check all loyalty points.

Many thanks for the thread start Ally

Poorly kitty is feeling very sorry for herself. I think all the meds they have put her on are making her feel rough so when she is awake she is looking zoned out. But wound is healing nicely on her back, just having to monitor as she was sick again last night. She is a cat that does not do any sorts of medication.

I fear this is going to be a spendy week. Managed to sort out getting the back garden cut which was beginning to look like a rainforest and it will now be contained every 2 weeks.

Plus more spends on preparing the living room for decorating.
    Banking all checked, d.debits good.
    Quidco checked
1 load of washing done and on the line
Eating out of the freezer with meals I had prepared ready for DD coming home
One email done, one to go plus forms to print out.
    RM survey items done

Think that's about it for now......off to clean DD room where her cat has been sick.....its not a good start to the week :(

    Afternoon all :)

Just back from the hospital, where I have been poked, prodded, scanned, blood tested etc, and I won't need any more treatment :j:j Just got to get back to speed now, but I have been warned it will take a few weeks. Had a pub lunch out with OH to celebrate, the place has certainly gone downhill since we last ate there, as it was defnitely not worth the money! Did the post office run and shopping on the way back. Bumped into an acquaintance from years ago in the SM, who cornered me to tell me in great detail about a death in her family - very sad and I sympathise greatly with her, but to be honest I could have done without it as I was feeling queasy after all my prodding about and a not very nice lunch, and really needing to sit down - she is going to phone me later apparently with further details :(

Apart from that, I have / will:
    Did a couple of surveys

Checked banks and updated spreadsheet, just need to add spends on pub lunch and fuel when I get the receipts from OH.
No need for dinner tonight as lunch was filling, if not great quality. Will bake a quiche shell to fill tomorrow though (bought pastry, which I hardly ever do, as my shortcrust is much better, frankly - but couldn't face the thought of making it :()
Might patch jeans - tried another pair on this morning though, and I still can't cope with anything tight / fitted round my middle, so not urgent. It would get them out of the way though!
Water anything in the garden that needs it
Clean bathroom floor - we're posh here Ally, we have this new fangled device called a mop and bucket :rotfl:

Hope everyone is having a good day :)

:rotfl: We do have one...for special occasions...but getting it out the cupboard would've woken DW at stupid o'clock this morning.

Hi Everyone, long time since I last posted on here, glad to be back.

Love reading what everyone does each day, the small things really do make a difference, thank you for sharing!

Had an epiphany/breakdown/Lightbulb moment (number 364) a couple of weeks ago. Myself and the wife to be (WTB) are planning our wedding and the realisation of cost, along with current debts and lifestyle just didn’t add up.
So we had a team meeting at the kitchen table and went through each account, bill and payment with a forensic toothcomb. I knew we had lost a bit of control so it was well needed. We now have a clear picture of where we are and where we need to be.

I’ve been listening to Dave Ramsey so we devised a full zero based budget, every payment was noted along with required sink funds for things like Car MOT, Insurance, Christmas and of course Wedding.
We now have a cash envelope system in place for Grocery, Fuel and a few other monthly requirements.

To say both of our mental health’s improved overnight is an understatement. :o

    Anyway back to my activities;

    - Checked bank and spreadsheets – Done. Currently going through a switch to Barclays (to take advantage of their double reward (£11) each month).
    - Checked Quidco/TopCashback – Done, waiting on some money moving from Confirmed to Payable
    - Made packed lunch for work – Done
    - Drink free machine coffee in work instead of buying (It’s not so bad once you have a few) - Done
    - Charge phone in work - Done
    - Dinner from cupboards/freezer
    - Have a NSD

WTB is making soup today which will do me a few lunches this week.

    Have a good day everyone.

Keep going, you will get there!

    * Continue to chase up missing £65 reward card.

The company told me in an email they'd get back to me in 24 hours. Now they are denying this and saying it's 72 hours. I wasted 30 mins of my life discussing this. Sigh.
