What small DFW things will you do w/c 4th June??

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:

    Hi June[STRIKE] Jellybeans[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Jaberers[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Junkanoos[/STRIKE] Penny-Jugglers

    It's my weekend and the sound of the seagulls are deafening the occupants of Dowd-Towers-By-The-Sea.

    Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Four:

    * Checked online banking.

    * Turned off alarm clock until tonight, it resets itself automatically.

    * Continue to chase up travel expenses.

    * Continue to chase up missing £65 reward card.

    * Triaged fridge and freezer. Batch-cooked 4 tubs of soup using derelict tomato, lettuce (yes it works), frozen watercress, left over passata, stockcube, rice and scraps of lamb and beef.

    * Cleaned up kitchen. DW has been cooking all week...will leave the rest to your imagination , but we couldn't enjoy home-cooked delights in there as it was. :eek:

    * Cleaned kitchen floor using time-proven H and K Method.

    * Cleaned fridge and freezer. (I was on a cleaning roll!)

    * Ate leftover tuna roll from yesterday's packed lunch.

    * Checked DW's online banking.

    To live without risk is to risk not living.

    Checked online banking
    Scooped water out of the washing up bowl to water seedlings on windowsill
    Continuing to work out few tea leaves I can use and still have a lovely cup of tea (a box of tea leaves is lasting soo much longer now that I'm more careful with how much I use!)
    Washing is on the line already
    Sandwiches made for lunch
    I've decided not to grocery shop today as I only need a couple of things, so I'll try and do without them/manage as long as I can

    Down on my Hands and Knees with a washable cloth, instead of using a fancy electric do-dah to clean the floor. :rotfl:

    Get some canes and some netting and build a tent over the bush? Ask for canes and netting on Freecycle or Freegle.

    Or make your own Irritape. (Link)
