A few years ago I did well with Snowdrops "in the green" - but some fool came up and started virtually giving them away "for charity", so it's not even been worth digging them up ! much less packaging and posting them.
Thought about car boots too - but we only have one decent one close by and I'm not sure about forking out £15 for a pitch. I used to have a little trailer and kept it packed all week - do you do that ?
I love your idea of selling snowdrops:T. What a shame someone else spoiled it for you:(. You could try selling them at a car boot if you can find one in the winter months. Or can you sell them 'in the green' at other times too? I've sold various plants raised from cuttings/seeds and surplus produce at car boots but only as a small part of my wares.
We're more fortunate here out in the sticks, at least there are several car boot sales to choose from as there are lots of suitable rural venues with plenty of land for cars. Means a fair amount of travelling even then but living out here that's just a fact of life I'm afraid:(. Pitch fees are usually still £5 a time for a car:j, maybe more for a trailer but not having one I wouldn't know.
Great idea of yours to have a trailer though and keep it always packed and ready to go:T. That's one of the worst bits of car booting IMO, packing and unpacking the car all the time:(. The only problem with the trailer idea is that I don't have a trailer or a towbar so would need to fork out a lot to get set up. Would defeat the object of selling off my tat, and that's what most of what I have left is now:o. Maybe back in the day when I was doing a lot more of it I should have speculated to accumulate as the saying goes;)0 -

Hi
sorry all, I been busy with work, done a full week and did not enjoy it at all!
I am busy househunting as running out of time. Typical DH. we had a year to find something but he kept using weddings, work and other excuses to put it off, now we are running out of time.
Every property we both agree on, by the time I make a call to go see it, has been let! and annoyingly the estate agents are keeping on the site properties that have been let, so am wasting my time. I look, like, send the inform to DH, by the time he looks likes, and says yes make an appt we find out been let already!
anyone know any private landlords in london area who don't go through estate agents!!!!
this is very frustrating and time wasting.
also trying to keep up with OU work and failing, and also keeping DS entertained, dealing with my admin client who thinks I check his emails daily. No, I don't get paid by you daily so I only check when you ask me to do work for you. Found I have been sent emails since last week but because I have not been on the PC I didn't know about them! The people I am dealing with, don't realise I only work ad hoc for him.
On top of that i have to do DH accounts stuff for his accountant and accounts for the scouts so I can hand that off back to them!
and breathe....
I will be back when i have five minutes and not falling asleep at laptop.0 -

yes!!! I just checked the FAQ
can I use the coupons available on the app if I shop online?
yes for Sainsburys, waitrose and tesco. as you would do for in-store shopping, remember to keep the receipt in order to send the photos.
so download the app onto your phone. you maybe able to access the site via pc, I am not sure.0 -

Aesop, I just don't know how you manage to cram everything in without your brain overheating. Looks like a lot of the people in your life are pretty thoughtless about how their attitudes and inertia impact on you. As you say, just breathe. I'm fed up of trying to persuade OH to mend his ways, the messages are falling on deaf ears. At least after about 30 years of it he's now having a mega decluttering blitz on his junk. It's causing me more stress and angst than it is him though:mad:
We were house hunting once although we chose not to move after all in the end as we couldn't find anywhere with the space we needed at an affordable price nearer suitable towns and within bearable commuting distances to our jobs. Much cheaper in those days to live out in the country. Anyway, I got fed up of OH spending so long looking at Estate Agent brochures or the local paper (no internet in those days) that several possible ones had already had offers made on them before we saw them:(. I used to go myself to view possible ones on my own, either in my lunch hour at work if near enough or teatime if possible on my way home. At least it eliminated the 'no hopers' and if there was something I really liked we made an appointment for both of us to go back together. OH always found something wrong with the ones I liked though:(. It must be much more difficult for you than it was for us as you need to find somewhere fast, plus reasonably priced homes in your area must be in great demand and short supply. I really sympathise with your situation and send hugs:kisses3:0 -

And Thanks to Aesop for keeping this place alive - a little haven we can all return to - my guess is that a LOT of people are less poor than they would have otherwise been because of your efforts and the group positivity
Welcome back.
It's not me that keeps the group going, it's all the wonderful posters who post.
And our cheerleaders lynnejk, car boot crazy, kantakrus mare, shariann, mikechelseafc, and loads others I can't think off right now0 -

Please can I ask what 'greenjinn' is? Never heard of it but the name sounds intriguing;).I thought the thread was really quiet, I'd not had any email notifications come through. Realised I hadn't subscribed. lol.
All subscribed now.
I've claimed £5 for paypal from swagbucks but won't count it until it arrives. I've also been given some restaurant vouchers that I'm considering selling but not sure where to get the best price. Does anyone have any experience?
There is an app called zeek where you can sell vouchers. They take a cut and you have to send the vouchers recorded. When they receive them, they check they are valid before activating your sale. You can offer any kind of discount but have to offer a discount.
If you want to sign up, people can refer you on the referral thread. You can leave your referral too once signed up.0 -

Thanks CBC. As Aesop says it’s a smartphone app. I quite like it as it has offers on non branded items and includes fruit and veg.
I know what you mean about forgetting to claim Aesop. I bought things on a Sunday and forgot to upload the receipt until Monday so when I went to do it the offers had all changed:mad:£10 a day April - £4/£3002014 £110.92 2015 £3732.30 2016 £1633.66 2017 £2991.70 2018 £3255.40
