Have managed to call Zoopla instead of emailing them, hopefully this should be put right by early next week!!
I believe the houses around us were built for the pit workers, as it is an ex mining village, but most of them are decent and have been bought and 'done up' so to speak0 -
Just having the one toilet will be putting off family buyers. Perhaps you could get a costing for fitting a cloakroom in the hallway/under the stairs to show to viewers?0

The decoration is way too dark, just too much black and dark colours, the feature wall in the bedroom for example and the hall and the side of the stairs, definitely get rid of the photograph of the hole in the road.
Just lighten it up all over as well as the price possibly being too high.If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0 -
There are lots of other three bedroom properties (albeit semi-detached) well under that price. It looks like it might be a good size (3 double bedrooms) but the total area, as well as dimensions in ft and inches, should be included.
The number of people that would pay that much extra for detached (compared to a larger house, better area or bit more character) is limited. You will probably need to drop the price to get any real interest."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0 -
Perhaps the lack of square footage in the details plus some photos taken from odd high or low angles are putting people off, making them think it is smaller than it really is. Unless your online marketing is as good as it can be you won't get the viewings these days, going on my experience as a seller and buyer last year.
Also remember there have just been two bank hols, half term and great/crappy weather in most areas of the country, none of which will be encouraging househunters out. Good luck, we went weeks without a viewing last May, changed agents in August and sold in a week.0 -
I agree with others that the decor is so dark. To me the house looks a little soul-less due to the harsh decor. The black curtains and red carpet, with purple walls, in picture 16 does that room no favours at all!
Sorry - I am only being honest and its not an attack on your personal taste. If you like it thats great, I just think people might not warm to the house because of it.0 -
I agree with a lot of the above comments.
The photos just don't sell the house. The decor is off putting as is no downstairs toilet.
I'd have to replace the black tiles in the bathroom and kitchen so straight away that's a bigger job than just repainting.2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

The red carpet is actually pink lol, we were sort of half way through decorating it and was going to replace the carpet and curtains and never got round to doing it before it went on the market, maybe get a nice light coloured carpet and curtains to lighten it up a bit. Thanks for all your feedback, the house has dark wood throughout so would be quite costly/difficult to change it, i.e skirting boards, staircase doors etc, but thanks for all the feedback, problem is we don't want to spend too much on it as I know we wont recoup the money when we sell0

First off, I love the outside, but if I'm perfectly honest the decor is going to put people off, with the red leather in the living room and black accents I half expected to see a dominatrix with a whip in hand.
Try and make it look more neutral and like more of a family home, as there is quite a lot of black and you don't immediately envisage your children running around. Also monopolise on the great view out front, don't know what they were thinking with photo give and the hole they've photographed0 -
Thanks, I will definitely call the estate agent and maybe get him to re do some of the photos and maybe purchase so more neutral soft furnishings. Thanks for all your feedback its really helpful0
