13/10+ NSDs to report here so I might hit 20 after all!

Need to get out more in the fresh air - all work and no play is turning me pale. Last night was our year 11 prom night and it was great to see them all dressed up and enjoying themselves about to set off on adulthood.

I still am Puddleglum - phew!

    Hi all :hello:
I know I'm very quiet at the moment with loads going on, but I am trying to keep the DFW faith. I'm at 12NSD's for the month so far and the end of the month with be nsd's due to the fact that I barely have any cash left.
I won't bore you with the exam marking, because I'm bored of it myself. June is the hardest and busiest month of the year for me - but it's worth it by the end of July when I have time to spend with my gorgeous kids and enough money to do stuff I want to do.
Also had a minor plumbing emergency at the weekend, involving a sneaky leaking bath, which I only noticed once the bath almost fell through the floor. It wasn't as expensive as I thought, but it was more expense on top of the cost of my divorce this month as well. Roll on payday!
Now on my way to London for the next 3 days for more meetings so I'm still a busy bunny.
  • Didnt hit number 10 today :(. Emotions get in the way. Tomorrow will be though as bank account is empty and have £3 in my purse.
No Spend November 2/15 and SPC 134

    D - no additional payments
E - went to the gym after work
S - payday is 10 days away and can't come soon enough
    S - done
    E - here again
Y - good chat with my dad
    Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500  1.8.25 - £106,362.86
    Mortgage overpayment savings - £3.33/£50
Mortgage overpayments so far - £675.98

Another NSD for me - just an average day at work then home for a bit of family time. My DS2 is back from uni and it's lovely having him around again. I dropped a few bunches of flowers into the health food store to be sold so that will add a tiy bit into my pocket. Having a good clear up to,orrow before baking days on thursday and friday....
    Trying to keep in budget.

    NSD 13

    Painting plaster.
    Running around after kids
    Watching football
    Folding laundry.
    Feeding people later.

Zero glamour in all that lot.

Will have a lovely bubble bath after all the football, DH is away until after 10pm. I have 1ush bath balls from my birthday, so I might as well make the whole bathroom sparkle with glitter. I put them in the airing cupboard, so that all the towels and sheets and duvet covers will get the benefit.
I am bored of the smell of teenage boys' bedrooms.

Nearly used this for daily inspiration

"I always want to laugh when the kids say they are bored. Asking for ideas from the woman standing in front of a pile of dirty pots."

Today I am grateful for dd having a superb day at the observatory, for dd loving brownies, for finishing dgs' cardi again (with the buttons on the correct side this time!), for catching my train, for an enjoyable journey (am back up in your neck of the woods, mothernerd, and just 8 miles from where I was born), for lovely hotel staff, for getting myself down to the hotel gym for my 2nd workout of the day, for being in my jamas by 6.30.

Should have called round to kick me up the b*m. Have to have another ECG this Thursday and this time they will put me on a treadmill. I am also being referred to the angina clinic (some indications that I might have it). Part of me has gone into total panic and just closed down.

I don't want to be ill, I can't be a sick person - too many people depend on me. Sorry to keep going awol but just can't deal with it atm.

Have been to mum's today (got yesterday off but slept all day - hoping it's just the hayfever working it's way out), another NSD (spent mum's money only).

Today I am grateful for easy food (soup, sandwich, bean salad from the ys shelf, starwberries from mum's garden), for the dampening down making it easier to breathe, for getting lots of rubbish and garden refuse out of the house, for jigsaws (using them to keep calm), for getting nearly all the shopping from one place (and then getting straight into a taxi with it), for returning nearly all the library books (1 missing but it was 3 missing) so that I don't get fined.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

    Hi all
    :j

A Ask yourself 'Is this necessary?' Before purchasing anything. Shopping day today..so some spends, went to another supermarket that I don't normally get to, so stocked up.. When you make a 'to do' list (is it realistic or even possible); Not much off the list today if I'm honest..

J June challenge runs from 1st June to 30th. Aiming for tough target. Still 10/20

U Use the food you have in the cupboards, fridge and freezer to base your meals on. Meal plan (for the month or for a few days at a time, whichever suits). Cook from scratch (short cuts permitted if you are feeling stressed) YS Lunch from stores; tea was leftovers, very tasty...

N No takeaways, coffee, chip or pie shop purchases. Nope.

E Eating well is a form of self respect. YS hot up meal for lunch, ugh, not even worth the YS price. Tea was HM chilli.pasta.pitta..with salad. Tasty & now all gone. Didn't want leftover leftovers IYSWIM.

O Offer help and encouragement to other turtles and people you meet. Be kind to everyone, especially yourself. Waves pompoms wildly encouragingly!! Tried to be kind to work colleagues whilst silently gritting teeth, it's not easy & we are mostly volunteers..

D Debt or savings payments should be made first - live on what is left No debt other than cc I use for all purchases to get rewards - which is paid off in full every month. Will need to get the cc bill down during the month with payments made daily (PAD thread) to avoid large bill at end of month. Another Daily PAD..

E Exercise according to your programme or your ability. Minimum of 3 times a week. Try to get outside every day. Work all morning so fairly active & no sitting down for the 4 hours I'm there; outside with fluffy butts this evening for a while, they ran round, I weeded.

S Set all your budgets before the start of the month. Food, travel, social, diy, other. Have filled in a lot of the spreadsheet but it is still a wip, will add rest. More to add tomorrow, then need to take stock as cannot possibly need any more food.

S Someone, somewhere is worse off than you. Donate to the local food bank or other charity of your choice. Clear some of your clutter and donate the goods to charity. Will be amassing stuff to take to CS as I clear the clutter; also intend to sell better items to pay for hols booked for August. Ironed some stuff ready for photos & charged up tablet for photos. Still to do.

E Every day check in is recommended, especially when things go wrong. 19/30 here I am..

You are the most important person in your life. You are your own longest term investment. You matter. Read this and the daily quotes, take on anything you find relevant and helpful, ditch the rest. Reading, learning & inwardly digesting. Help and support on here is the best..progress slow but steady..keep on keeping on..Good today, didn't bring much home from cs today, thank goodness..
