Today I am grateful for getting my workout done before my brain woke up enough to object, for a lovely day at work, for dropping off 2 more bags at the Sally Army, for dd getting on and doing her hwk, for dh making tea, for plenty of walking, for a handful of y5s + y6s enthusiastically helping me remove covers off old text books and then taking the books to the recycling bins - must've saved me at least 2 hours' work.

  • Missed a couple.of days posting. I haven't had a chance to read up, so I just caught up.

2 nsd's to add. I think that's 8 now but I'll have to go back to double check.

Made a £3 pad to N3xt. I'm trying to get this paid off first. There's just over £300 on there at the moment. Then I'll tackle my v3ry account which has ablut the same amount on, interest free until April 2019.

Today I am grateful for -

Back to work and Another really busy day - yesterday wasn't so bad as it was Sunday although I didn't get as much as I wanted done.
A NSD but I've lost track now of how many I've got under my belt.
My son came back from Uni for a week before heading off on his interailing trip, it's lovely to have him back for a while.
Otherwise it's the same old thing!!
    Trying to keep in budget.

    Hi all :j

A Ask yourself 'Is this necessary?' Before purchasing anything. No spending today.. When you make a 'to do' list (is it realistic or even possible); Yes did some stuff off the list, trying not to make it too scary

J June challenge runs from 1st June to 30th. Aiming for tough target. Now 10/20

U Use the food you have in the cupboards, fridge and freezer to base your meals on. Meal plan (for the month or for a few days at a time, whichever suits). Cook from scratch (short cuts permitted if you are feeling stressed) Lunch from stores; ate out for FD - DD paid..

N No takeaways, coffee, chip or pie shop purchases. Nope.

E Eating well is a form of self respect. Pretty good today. Ate out tonight though. Have limited nightly snack to piece of fruit & a yoghurt..

O Offer help and encouragement to other turtles and people you meet. Be kind to everyone, especially yourself. Waves pompoms wildly encouragingly!! Suggested DH go back to bed till lunchtime as he has not had a good nights sleep for a week

D Debt or savings payments should be made first - live on what is left No debt other than cc I use for all purchases to get rewards - which is paid off in full every month. Will need to get the cc bill down during the month with payments made daily (PAD thread) to avoid large bill at end of month. Another Daily PAD..

E Exercise according to your programme or your ability. Minimum of 3 times a week. Try to get outside every day. Outside today whilst DH snoozed, got quite a lot done..

S Set all your budgets before the start of the month. Food, travel, social, diy, other. Have filled in a lot of the spreadsheet but it is still a wip, will add rest.

S Someone, somewhere is worse off than you. Donate to the local food bank or other charity of your choice. Clear some of your clutter and donate the goods to charity. Will be amassing stuff to take to CS as I clear the clutter; also intend to sell better items to pay for hols booked for August. Ironed some stuff ready for photos & charged up tablet for photos.

E Every day check in is recommended, especially when things go wrong. 18/30 here I am..

You are the most important person in your life. You are your own longest term investment. You matter. Read this and the daily quotes, take on anything you find relevant and helpful, ditch the rest. Reading, learning & inwardly digesting. Help and support on here is the best..progress slow but steady..keep on keeping on..All ok today

    Go turtles

    Hi all

Today is another NSD- I have no idea what I am on - oops. But I am still in budget. just. I have £25 pounds left until Pay day. enough for one top up shop and not a whole lot more. Planning to stay out of the shops until Thursday/Friday at least.

Hub is away which means our house is mental busy. I got up early to water the plants and do a bit in the garden/clean the chickens - this will save me a job tonight. I am going on lunch to collect my parcels from Argos and M&S- another job I can get done during the day to help out in the evenings.

I Hope everyone has a good Tuesday :D

    will do gratitude later

    Hello,

today started better already. This will be a good day. And an SFD. Got my food better planned and no wallet with me. Will hopefully manage longish run at lunch time.

As it'll rain this evening it'll save me the watering and take away the opportunity to potter in the garden. Will probably spend that time tidying the kids bedroom with them and the drawer of doom in the kitchen (batteries, string, rubber bands, light bulbs, bits, bobs etc etc).

    Till later
DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/25
  • Feeling very positive I can hit number 10 NSD today. I am struggling as have no coca cola  but determind to quit it anyway. Will update later if I achieve it :)

    NSD 13

    Painting plaster.
    Running around after kids
    Watching football
    Folding laundry.
    Feeding people later.

Zero glamour in all that lot.

Will have a lovely bubble bath after all the football, DH is away until after 10pm. I have 1ush bath balls from my birthday, so I might as well make the whole bathroom sparkle with glitter. I put them in the airing cupboard, so that all the towels and sheets and duvet covers will get the benefit.
I am bored of the smell of teenage boys' bedrooms.

    NSD No 12.
Haven't done lots but did have a walk and pottered about tidying up my little porch which is looking very nice. A few people walking down the back lane have actually commented on it so I'm glad that it's making someone else happy apart from me.
Still eating from stores. I do believe I am seeing gaps in the freezer. Budget doing well despite the additional spends for things for the Boy (not that he's asked me to do it but I can see what he needs better than he can). I think once everything calms down and he's settled in we should be able reduce our household outgoings significantly. We really don't need the superfast high speed broadband and the electricity and gas consumption should reduce as well.
    have a good evening. xx
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.
