Bathroom scrubbed and various lotions and potions all coralled into one area for sorting/disposal.
Another washload on. Will have to do something about clothes that have dried as the place resembles a laundry at the moment.
Bed needs making - replaced the undersheet last night but didn't have the energy to do the full change, especially as the Idiot Cat launched himself underneath the new sheet and refused to come out by threatening ultraviolence upon anybody who dared to lift the corner for twenty minutes before he decided to get half under the duvet and half in direct line with the fan instead. [pointedly ignores the earlier post about hoping Himself had done it because I'd asked - and left the clean linen on the bed for that purpose ]
But I'd need to get somebody out of bed for that to happen.
Anybody got a spare rocket?I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Sorry JoJo, no rockets.
Fridge cleaned, fruit salad made and yoghurt in the maker. Inspired by JoJo, I may sort some lotions and potions next.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Wow, Jojo. Just wow.
I think Valli's suggestion is brilliant, JulieJim.
(((Hugs))) Frodders and ATB.Slinkie: Did have two stone to lose, that's now 2 and a half stone.
I'm up a few pounds as well. Possibly the other half of your stone. Ooops.
Kelpie's been up to the field where we are now making progress on Stay, but absolutely none on Recall. It's a positive, on balance, but I wish he understood the idea of Recall.
I did a bit of sewing before I went and I'm back on it now. I really resent having to make and eat lunch because it eats into my sewing time! It's actually work, not a hobby, so it should take precedence over everything else but because I enjoy it, I leave it until last.
It's a Bank Holiday, tomorrow I have absolutely nothing in the diary and OH will still be away. The animals will get looked after, I'll feed myself, although that might involve taking myself to Wevverspoons for brunchtime breakfast, and sew all day. I can crack on with flying on Wednesday after Kelpie's been to hydrotherapy.Better is good enough.0 -
Himself got up shortly after I posted. Apparently, the cat woke him up, then the binmen, then my alarm, so he didn't get any sleep until about 9am.
I am now in the process of dismantling the shower drain assembly, clearing accumulated soggy cat fluff from inside the various pieces and reinstating it properly. I had expected it to be far more unpleasant than it actually is although it wouldn't have been a problem in the first place had he cleaned more frequently and put the cover back properly on the one occasion where he had attempted to deal with it - but not noticed the rest of the contraption was still blocked.
Once the boiling water I'm using to clean the various pieces has cooled down enough to touch through rubber gloves, I'll get that finished, thoroughly disinfect myself and then have some breakfast before going through the songs I've got to learn for tomorrow morning.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Hi all.
After a couple of years away from flylady I'm sliding back in with my tail between my legs.
The house is awful and after being at my mums for the weekend where her house is nowhere near perfect I have arrived home feeling sad about how bad it is.
So I'm in. Hope to chat to you all this week xx0 -
One fixed shower drain and scrubbed floor (again). Replaced stiff bristle broom head and used that to give it a superduper deep scrub, then cleaned the loo and wiped over the sink and glass shelf.
And practically disinfected my hands and feet (I was not going to ruin one of my few perfectly good pairs of footwear by standing on a wet, bleach infused floor whilst scrubbing it).
I am now staaarrrrving!
Food, then painful shoes to hoy out, then the potions and lotions. Then music.
Aren't holidays wonderful, so relaxing and peaceful?I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
I’m in - all done for today. Glorious sunshine with me, so I’ve poured a glass of Prosecco and have opened the balcony door to get some rays :T:0

Dizzy, I forgot to say, you sound as though you're having a really torrid time due to the weather. You must really love that house!
Chicken stripped, bins and litter trays dealt with, Kelpie dosed with Tramadol and he's now calmed down after being practically hysterical, so he must have been in a lot of pain. Higgs (black kitten) tried to steal Pickle's food (tortie kitten) so I took it to her and fed her in Kelpie's bed. She loves the sheepskin rug and didn't even bother to stand up to scoff her food.
Washing up done, all the washing is in and folded, and I'll do the ironing while I'm pressing the next stage of the sewing stuff.Better is good enough.0 -
Evening all. I can't believe that it is so late already. I've made 3 attempts to post today, and got distracted each time...so here goes, albeit so not exciting. I have managed the bed making part of the list. And that's about it. All those who have lost weight on the Slinky challenge, I can assure you that your lost weight is now happily sitting on my hips. I tried to put on a pair of old trousers that I have worn before for gardening, and they were not having any of it. To try to make amends, I took it out on rage digging the 3 foot high weeds from the allotment. I must have lost a couple of stone by now, surely.
DH has been clearing out his shed today. Most of it has gone back in, but I'm trying to be grateful for the small amount that has been earmarked for the dump. Unless he can think of a use for it between now and then. On past performance, that is highly likely.
Off to make dinner - hm pizza as I realised there was nothing else. Oops.
Welcome backs and hugs to all. X0 -
Just tried learning the setlist for the next two days in a proper studio. Strangely, I have pain in my shoulder, elbow and wrist (plus my ankle, but let's not moan about that) and it's nearly impossible to play at intended speed. I also have no idea how I'm going to manage the trip to the studios, never mind the two eight hour days booked to play (plans to sneak a small bottle of vodka into my gig bag as usual).
Can't imagine why I've almost lost the use of my left arm over the weekend. It's almost as if I've overdone it on something whilst the psoriatic arthritis is flaring (again), which happens due to a lot of things, including stress.
I just can't work it out.
Have necked a large G&T with significantly more G than T. Food and more flinging calls. Especially when there's a trite BBC Radio 'comedy sketch show' with 'hilarious musical elements' being played loudly.
It's crushingly humid but no sign of a thunderstorm at present - so my next port of call will be the shower.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0
