I had an evening job when I was at school and my parents charged me board.
I always resented it.
I've never charged my kids rent.0 -

In Prowla's shoes, I'd have been resentful too.0 -
And are in paid work - which the OP's 2 children are.

I agree with you about Prowla but your first sentence not so much. If an unemployed adult child is claiming JSA then a decent chunk of that should normally go to the parents for board. The government don't give you that money just for spending money.0 -
Does anyone think it strange the emphasis being placed on the fact her children bathe each day? What sort of dirty individual doesn't bathe daily?0

I assumed the OP was just emphasising that there is additional cost to them living with her that would not be incurred if she was living on her own (as some posters suggest she just charges the extra amount that it costs her).
If she lived on her own, there would just be the cost of her shower instead of the possible 3 more (son, daughter and girlfriend).0 -

Unless it's really hot, most people don't need to shower/bathe every day unless they've been doing something very active or messy. Doing so is a very recent development and not necessarily healthy..0 -

Yes, those good old days when people didn't bathe and died by 50.
There is no excuse not to shower or bathe at least once a day - preferably twice frankly!0 -

I think you meant "no reason"
As I said, an unhealthy habit and bad for the planet.

there are some very strange opinions on this board ... showering/bathing daily (at least) is a minimum requirement these days .... Anyone working/socialising with others will testify to the result if someone doesnt :eek:0
