£33 spent today mainly on exciting things like loo roll, tea bags etc. plus a load of fruit & veg. Total so far for June £175/£230. Apart from milk I shouldn't need anything until the end of next week.

Made the mushroom carbonara and it was delish. Left out the eggs, but I might try the Alpro cream next time, thank you for the suggestion Save Dosh.

Did paella last night and trying the falafel burgers tonight.

Want to try FoxFace's Samosa jacket potatoes tomorrow.

I've got lots of past their best potatoes and a bag of carrots so would like to do a veg. curry on Friday night - any suggestions for other veggies to add would be appreciated. I guess a bombay potato as well?
Cauliflower, never do a curry without some, I don`t eat rice, also spinach gives some nice green bits.
Do I need it or just want it.

Having to log a spend of £5.77p. My eldest boy sprung it on me last minute that he needed a bunch of ingredients for cooking class at school... can't be helped I guess, but I bought the cheapest priced items.

Edit: I just wanted to add... I don't know if anyone else does this, but I am currently gaining a great deal of pleasure in checking my food budget balances. I only use cash, so every time I update my sig, I grab my purse and count what's left... each time it balances perfectly, it is such a nice feeling :D

Hope you all had a lovely Monday :)

I put my monthly allowance onto a top up debit card as it means I can only spend what's on it. I also keep check via a spreadsheet too.

I spent £48.16 last week. My shopping day is tomorrow and I'm hoping for a smaller spend this week with maybe a fruit/bread top up later in the week. Like someone else here I had £8 off £40 spend vouchers from W@itrose so I did two shops. One was a pet food shop so it's not tracked here - the cats won't starve this month though :rotfl:
That was me, bet the assistants thought it was odd that I went shopping twice in the space of 30 minutes as I used 2 vouchers per visit to make sure they were used by the end date.

I love cauliflower in curry, always forget about it though

Had my food shopping delivered today as I got a £15 off £50 shop at Sainsb*ry's, ended up spending £36.33 and I'm also trying a local fruit and veg box delivery so that was delivered today. £20 but was well worth it for the amount in it. 35076610_1699543053470495_1324540065518452736_n.jpg?_nc_cat=0&oh=6429bc2afd07884e543d4eb9201bcd31&oe=5BB89D3C

Evening everyone. I've been off the thread for a week but I'm diving back into properly tracking. In the last week I've had 4 additional NSDs and spent €105.39 including about €33 in the Ikea Food Shop on Saturday.

    TOTALS SO FAR:
    €132.23 / €300.00
    8 / 10 NSD

My total is more ahead than I would like but I think I can temper it over the next week or so. I'm currently caught between trying to buy more food and just eating down what's in the house before going on holiday next week Wednesday morning. We need fruit and some vegetables so I'll head to Lidl and Delhaize tomorrow. I'll also restock on toilet paper so we'll have some when we return at the end of the month. :rotfl: I'll aim to keep all sets of groceries tomorrow to approximately €35.

Love our Fruit & Veg Box!

Originally used to go to the Fruit & Veg shop when it opened locally, unfortunately after a year it had to close due to rent too high and because it was suppose to be a butcher, baker and fruit & veg shop altogether but the shopping centre never found a butcher so they were doomed from the start as they were off from the middle of the centre and people didn't used to venture up that far :(

He had to go back to just his first shop but as he wanted to keep on supplying the local businesses in the area he had set up, he comes down and delivers a few boxes to local residents too including me! :D

Much better value and last so much longer! Plus I get exactly what I want rather than a random box of stuff that a lot of the bigger brands supply x

So first update for the month:

    - £3.89 Graze Box

    - £15 Fruit & Veg Box

    - £19.99 Carefresh Bedding for hamsters bought the large size which is more cost efficient and will last a few months! :)

    - £3.40 small top up shop at Tesco

    - £4 small top up shop at Tesco (I forgot a key ingredient for cooking!)

    - £66.51 Click & Collect Order at Tesco - I did really well as I went into the basket and took out about £10 of items I didn't really need which brought the price down! :D

    - £15 alcohol & coffee shop at Tesco by other half :)

Total is £129.79 so pretty good for halfway through the month! x
