  • Hi everyone - happy Sunday. No spends for 9 days. My final total is £50.53/80, which is £29.47 under. I'm very happy with that, but not a true reflection of food entering the house, as I do get quite a bit of freebies from work, like Gails & Pret stuff - not too shabby and my 'lodger' bought me a large bottle of Absolut vodka, organic vegan bodywash, a vegan fruit & nut chocolate (who knew there was such a thing) & a few cartons of juice (mixers I guess) for my birthday a few days ago, so no spends there. I do still have a few magnums of 'Prosecco' lurking in the cupboard also!! The £29.47 leftover has been added to my bulk fund. See you in July.

So close! Final tally up for June put me at £152.63 out of a £150 budget. Oh well serves me right for buying the giant block of cheese at costco! Aw well... See you in July!

I’m surprised you made it that cheaply out of Costco!
  • Ended up with £185.63 total, which is waaay over my goal of £110. Still, most of the excess was spent on organic fruit and veg, so while it may have hurt my budget, it certainly hasn't hurt my health! :-) Hard to feel bad about that. Will try to keep a tighter hold of those purse strings in July, though.

£8.09 spent today on some end of month reductions at work, YS fruit and veg, crisps and some Drumstick choos. Can't believe work actually has some vegan sweets in so making the most of them whilst in as they are then 90p, as opposed to a £1 everywhere else.

I can't officially declare yet, as i am sure i am missing a Morrisons receipt from yesterday.

I think the Morrisons shop was £3.71 and so I am declaring at £126.04

Hah! I usually make a shopping list and set a budget and then add a couple of quid in case there is something I fancy on the spur of the moment. The giant block of cheese was a bit more than the extra I'd allowed. It will last me ages and is blooming lovely though so worth it!

I am very behind on my emails and the admin in my life. I haven't read any MSE forum emails for the last week. We went live with our new finance system at the start of the month and, as the data-monkey, I've been reconciling, amending and correcting like a mad person. I worked 11 days straight.

Anyway, I am declaring for June at £149.35/£120.

Yes, an overspend of nearly £30 and, at least £10 of that I haven't a clue about. i don't know where it was spent. Fortunately, we had some Clubcard vouchers in the housekeeping purse, when we did our last shop at MrT's because that's what bailed us out. I was saving them for Christmas spending but had to raid them for £20's worth.

That shop included a bottle of brandy but that only explains half of that last £32 shop. (Brandy is an excellent cough suppressant. I'd spent the previous week, coughing myself awake every night with the mother-of-all-head-colds.)

    July will be better.
