•
I haven't posted much for the past few days, my father in law died on Tusday last week and it has obviously been quite time consuming (and emotional) beginning to sort things out. He was almost 86 and had had a good life. I think he was ready to go.
BB ... Stewart on the telly at the weekend? When? Where? if it was the re-runs I recorded them. If it was something new, I'm devestated to have missed it.
Hi grannynise: so sorry to hear about your father-in-law. It must be a comfort to know he was ready to go, but still a loss for you and your husband and a fundamental passage of life to lose a parent. Thinking of you.
Sorry to put you in a tizzy re Stewart: no, it was a repeat, nothing new so you are alright there.
Let me know if you are up for the secret santa I'm organising

Bails, can't help re any knowledge of ferrtility tests. I only know a woman's fertility can tail off dramatically after 35, though of course we all know woman who fell pregnant after that but it does get more risky. I think lots of practice is essential as a warm up for the real 'going for it' :D:D

• bails - I think most fertitlity testing is done as a result of proven infertility - usually after 1 year of "trying". I know that's how it was for me. My advice, don't put yourself through it unnecessarily, it's not only invasive but emotionally draining It's best to focus on losing weight and getting yourself healthy. If you have a regular cycle, usually you don't need to worry too much. What I would advise is, if you're feeling that the time is almost right and are on a hormonal birth control method, stop using it. It took 3 years for my cycle to return following the removal of the coil and 1 year from stopping the pill.
