This shed must be full to bursting with all our stuff in it!:D
Hi JoeyEmma and welcome to the group! I'm going it alone but there are lots of WW/SW gurus on here, amongst other things, so feel free to ask whatever you like and someone will almost certainly know the answer. What do you think will be the best route for you this time? Stay with us and whichever way you decide to go, this thread will give you some phenomenal support too! Do you have a target in mind? (you don't need to share it with us). We have a Monthly Challenge to try and lose 5 pounds a month, just yell if you're interested and Delly will put you on the chart. The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

AjaxGeezer I'm a Joey!
Bails Thanks for the welcome. I'm not sure what my best route is thats my problem! I've also been spending too much time on the Old Style board and have been getting a taste for home made bread and cakes. Oh well! The revolution starts now0 -
Been lurking since Sat (and very entertained) but too el knackered to log on. 1st of all
Petrichor is back: thought you might be going through a rough time pet and am sooo relieved to have you back out the other side :grouphug: .
Bails: I was begining to wonder if you were in custody, so glad is was just fatigue: brill news about work:j .
Ajax: thanks for the you tube link - very funny and soooo not a turn on!
katiepc: my consultant definitely says the lasagne crisps are 'free'. How long did you do them in the oven for(and what temp?).
Dragon: so unlucky - as bails says, hopefully that isn;t real weight' you've gained. And yes, definitely get yourself something nice to wear for Xmas, knowing it WON'T fit you for next Xmas.
Bails - the Dr's: she's given me a short term dose of sleeping/muscle relaxant to help me get some sleep and refered me to a back clinic. Waiting list time unknown so fingers crossed. She was very chuffed at my weight loss though since I last saw her (1st 4 lbs confirmed on her scales: bmi 25.34:D )
joeyemma: welcome to our friendly supportive forum. I do SW and love it. My colleague also does it and she has hit a long maintain phase so had a chat with the consultant who had a lot of helpful suggestions on how to try different combinations of food (even though she was sticking to plan)and it has worked - is now shifting again. After losing 25lbs, I'm now only losing 2lbs a month but I'm ok with that as I feel I am eating loads and not getting much exercise. I find I do need a club to stay motivated but couldn't have done it without this lot either. Others go it alone with us and that has worked great for them. Whatever, stick with us and join in:T
Ajax, does this mean if I drag Mr 'ooh I don't do going abroad' BB to amsterdam he'll find himself popping the question (...where's me passport...):D ,
bbI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

Excellent Joey, I'm up for the revolution too after my weekend! Ajax is the current king of homemade bread so you can wean yourselves off together. What I mean is, do you think you want to try SW again or start something new? If it really is a case of 'I haven't got a clue!' then pick one and get started, see if it's for you. I think the hardest part can be getting started sometimes. Good luck!
EDIT: we're at it again BB with our simultaneous posting! Glad to hear that the doc has given you some short-term relief, hope the waiting list isn't too long. Your GP should be v pleased with you, you've done great with the WL! Ha ha, I'd forgotten I'd said I might be locked up by now...:rotfl:In fact, I was remarkably restrained. Think it must be the low energy levels but I can't stop craving today and don't really have the fight in me to say no. Oh well, it'll come. The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

......then you're in luck. WW is quite generous to blokes - as a 15st something male I get 29 points per day, and that's counting my job as sedentary. Dellybelly is the brains of the forum (apologies to the rest of you WW boffins, but her name sticks out to me) when it comes to WW, and she has a ready-reckoner/questionnaire which would tell you how many points you'd get depending on weight, gender, height, age, job style etc. Now, 29 points might not sound much, but when I tell you that a lot of wholemeal breads are a point a slice, a bottle of wine is 8 points, a Tesco healthy living egg mayo sandwich is 4 points, a Tesco Healthy Living ready meal of vege lasagne is 4.5 points, then you see how generous it is. Ummm, I hope.
There's no need to ditch the old style ways for WW, my friend, no sir-ree!!! I just discovered the joys of breadmaking myself in fact, and bored this good lot rigid with that fact over the last day or so.
By the way, when you said you were a Joey, I laughed..... sorry, but when you watched Blue Peter in the late 70s/early 80s, then Joey was a playground name-call0 -

.......if he doesn't propose there, he won't propose anywhere. If it's not going well then drag him to the Amsterdam ArenA to watch an Ajax game - there's not a football lover in the world who can't be reduced to a blubbering wreck at the beauty on that field.0 -

....I don't watch it when it's on. If I did that then I'd have no excuse for taping it. (Up here for thinking........) MrsA isn't really sure why I insist that she watches Corrie at 8.30..... well, she probably is sure but is too polite to call me a sad old perv0 -
Can we stop talking about bread and cakes then??? I'm getting hungary
Welcome Joey btw, I think its the silly afternoon time here, you should have been here this morning. Not a sausage to be had!!ajaxgeezer wrote: »MrsA isn't really sure why I insist that she watches Corrie at 8.30..... well, she probably is sure but is too polite to call me a sad old perv
