Sorry to hear about the ankle/knee Dragon, hope it gets better soon. Sounds like the extra weight might be the non-permanent variety talked about on here - obviously it has a much better name than that but I am brain dead today :D. Ajax, thanks for making me laugh - I shall be off to search my shed for my sanity shortly.

In the meantime, I'm going to be making some plans for a scheme of work so please no distractions of amusement or otherwise ;)

    BB, how was the doctors?

Right back from the gym, letter is now in. Managed 21 min on the bike level 13 - 423cals & 21 min on the cross trainer level 11 - 431cals Total 854cals :) Just going to have me shower now. The Gents changing room at the gym is now open, but only to the females, so as not to upset them

Hope the painkillers have kicked in Dragon, sorry to hear about the ankle. The knife will no doubt appear like the shopkeeper!!
Ajax, if I recall correctly salt and yeast and some warm water will help with the bread making ;) I see your metro and raise you a maestro :) SE Asia?? as in Chinese? and Fresh Bread, stop it you tease :)

...I once waited for the shopkeeper to appear. I missed the end of Mr Benn when I had to answer the door to the meter-reader-man though, so the shopkeeper didn't appear. Who appeared instead, on the next programme? Claire f*****g Raynor, that's who! Scant consolation, I tell you.

Not so much Chinese as Indonesian. Now I'm no Hercule Poirot, but I'm presuming that a rugby trip to Amsterdam might mean that you'll get to see a fair amount of red neon, yeah?

    Hi all!

I've never posted on this thread before but thought that I would say hello.

I appear to be piling on the pounds (have put on a stone since stopping smoking a year ago) and am not happy about it.

I need to get my @rse in gear and loose some weight. I seem to do better at dieting with somebody breathing over my shoulder (ie a diet club). I have done well in the past with Slimming World, but last time I did it I started to maintain weight after about 4 weeks, got disheartened and didn't go back.

I have been thinking about Weight Watchers, but am not 100% sure.

What do people think? Have they had good/ bad experiences to share

Hate to break your heart young man, or should I call you Hastings?? but its not rugby trip, rather a quicky with the missus (orr eh!) Mind you if its anything like last years quicky to Dublin, I will have a monster hangover :D yes the red neon will feature no doubt as will the cafes, the canal and a certain brewery :)

.....lol dude, I guess that shows why we shoudln't make assumptions eh? :) I dunno if you've taken her before (!!) but if not then she'll love it - it's THE city of romance.... indeed, I proposed to MrsA in Amsterdam. The restaurant I'm on about is right by the red light district, and so is a rugby pub called Cafe Corsa (if I remember correctly - know exactly where it is but not 100% sure of the name). Where you staying?

Hi Joeyemma, welcome. :hello: You a joey or an emma?
  • owchy ouch ouch dragon, i hope you feel better soon.

been trying not to think about desserts dammit ajax! I did rather fancy the potato skins so i might look at them again. what i REALLY fancied was the starter that appears to be a vat of melted cheese and breadsticks but that would be wrong.

are all my books in the shed? I've lent out loads over the years that never found their way home.

Hiya JoeyEmma. We're not always this silly. Well, just most of the time, but also really really constructive about weight loss. Read back a few pages to find my big wobble ( down Suggs! down ajax!) and see all the help and support i got . . . . .
