  • hiya all. Feeling really down and really hoping to be happier tomorrow. I'm now into week 6 without heating or hot water and i'm £120 down because of it. Very lucky it's not more as I've found a nice plumber who my dad has been driving from Manchester to Leeds to try and fix the problem. He's having to contact the manufacturer now! It's starting to impact on everything now - can't get my washing dry because it stays damp and goes foisty and everything is starting to feel a little damp. I can't get the house clean because I'm so damned cold that I spend my time hiding out in the bedroom where the fan heater is, eating to make myself feel better. I've got a 1.4kg gain to report and I'm pretty fed up. I just keep making excuses for myself but I really need to take control and get my act together. Not helping that OH is working virtually 2 full time jobs at the moment so he's either away or holed up in his office so i'm having to do all the flaming housework that i can manage to do without hot water. Finding myself resenting him being away - aided and abetted by the fact that he is promoting the LRP event that he is running in Feb so whilst he is working he's also off having fun. Hopefully tomorrow will cheer me up - pleased to report my box has landed! I may have missed it but as far as i can tell the following people haven;t said that they've got theirs . .

If you have got it can you drop a post in the main thread to let me know? If you know you have definitely posted your box to one of these guys can you pm me?

if anyone has any advice to help e get my act together I'd really appreciate it. Ajax, I've taken your comment from friday to heart - perhaps i just need to focus on the future? Well done Delly, Efrieze and Starlight, some great achievements there. Anic, I'm sure we'll be doing the boxes again - just keep your eyes peeled and get your name down quick!

Morning all. Glad it's all back again ;)

Had a slight slip up with leibkuchen (german gingerbread biscuits) and miniature heroes but can still report a 3lb loss this week :D

That makes my BMI 24.6 instead of my starting BMI of 27.6 :D

Still got a bit more to get rid of before I can fit into the rest of my clothes though ;)

Hi, I too am glad we are back.

Katiepoppycat, I hope you manage to get your heating and water heating back on soon. It is really depressing being cold and having no hot water. Wrap yourself up in a duvet, you can't do any housework but you will be warm, and watch a film. I do that, and then you can't eat too much either because you need to keep your hands inside too! Though we all had apple crumble and custard on Sunday because we needed to keep warm. We got our oil delivery yesterday. We had no heating over the weekend and the kids asked whose fault it was that we ran out of oil. It is really daft but both DH and I both forgot to check the oil and we hadn't had a delivery for months so we both should have known to order some.

Well done efrieze, dellybelly, newlywed, starlightxx and anyone else I have missed. I am weighing tomorrow so I'm off to get some exercise.
