Morning all
Well done on fabulous losses! It's so inspiring 'watching' you all
Georgiebrown - great that you've got a treadmill! But don't start off too fast - apparently most early running injuries are caused by doing too much, too soon... Perhaps walk every other day, rather than running every day, at least til your body and knees are used to it? I've been plodding for a while, and it takes time. Mind you, you said you'd done it before, so maybe you know more than me!
Katiepoppycat - this probably won't help, but isn't that what SW 'flexible syns' are for? Decide you're going to have, say, 50 syns, rather than 15, and then stick to the higher amount, and go back to normal the next day, rather than feeling like you've blown it, so might as well just eat as much as you like? You're obviously doing well over the long term!
Well, after my miserable message at teh weekend, I went to SW class on Monday night, and lost 3.5lbs!! Well chuffedThink I was just refusing chocolate as I didn't want anything else to go wrong with my teeth
ONly 2.5lbs off my half stone now, so let's see how much of that I can do in a week

Is it me or is alot of TOTM happening? are you all syncing up??? :rotfl:
To all the maintainers and very slight gains, please dont worry, As long as the general trend is down, however slight, to quote my dietictian, then is must be a good thing. Day one is a lovely place to be.I should know, I go there quiet a bit.
x_raphael_xx I am sure your right, there was a time external links in signatures were not allowed, but to change the policy with no prior notice and no way of knowing what you own signature contained is a little :mad::mad: Bear in mind they wiped out the whole 2nd part of the signature, not just the link itself
Anyways I went to Boots and I have lost 1lbMy BMI is 34.66 down form 56.69 have now lost 38% of my body weight! Happy yes, pleased yes, should I stop now. I guess so. Delly Total loss should now read 159lb Thanks
Suppose I should do some work now!!! :rotfl:Proud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................

Ohhh look at all the good news posts since last night!!!
Grannynise, Bails & Cheery Daff congrats to you! Well done! I am still amazed and stunned that anyone can lose more than 4lb in ONE week, but whatever it is you're doing keep doing it!!!
Bails, wow that is soon for a wedding! I can remember one friend of mine planning her wedding for 2+ years, and I was being subjected to wedding plan talk on virtually a daily basis that whole time *eyes glaze over at the memory* Shorter lead times seem like a good idea to meWe're all here to help you, though I think you have everything firmly under control! Have a great smiley day at work!
Victory, thank you! I do love my new coat. It's the least amount of money I've sent on a winter coat in several years, but I feel better in it than my previous ones which cost twice as much or more.
Georgiebrown - I admire you with the running, I've tried and tried to get used to treadmill and running but I find it really hard. I can run up to about 2 miles but I find it tough going, I'm much better with other stuff.
Cheery, glad you had a pleasant surprise, well done! You're easily going to beat me to that half stoneI am happy with my loss this week though so I won't get TOO jealous, hehe!

Yeah I think we are Suggs!! It's getting rediculous: worse than a girls boarding schoolCONGRATULATIONS MS BAILS OF BATH
. That is so fantastic and very much deserved.. Something has definitely shifted (and I don't mean the 4.5lbs).
As for the wedding. You just need to focus a week at a time. You've made a great start and there is every reason to hope, with your knew job and gradually increasing exercise. Keep focussed but don't up the anti: do what you are already doing.
But also plan ahead for the day itself once you know the date. You must have a good haircut and have a blow dry on the day. Get your nails done. A few new bits of makeup - perhaps get some advice on that. And for an outfit - do you have favourite shops? Often you can get things on line in alarger size thn they keep in their stock. (If that proves necessary) Anything from Next, M&S(per una), Boden, Monsoon? I find catalogue buying far less stresssful and depressing than going to the shops. I know returns cost money, but so does a busfare/carparking.
Try on things you wouldn't usually consider your style and you might suprise yourself. Definitely go for fitted not coverall loose. A few extra curves are really sexy if you hold yourself well and project confidence and happiness (easier to say than live with I know!)
If money is tight, ask for contributions to an outfit from your mum and whoever for Xmas. You are going to look gorgeous even if that includes being a little heavier than you would have chosen.
Finally, ring round every possible venue they might choose and block book everything til June to give you a bit more time:rotfl:

morning all. Just been to boots & have lost 5lbs this week. That does include the 4lbs i put on at last weeks wi & lost again the next day but technically that was a new week so have included it. Well done to everyone else who has lost  , big hug to those who have gained or maintained this week.
I'm having coat problems which is making me really angry I ordered a nice black fitted coat from my catalogue nearly 6 weeks ago. I chose it not only because I liked it & it had money off it but the website said it was in stock. I then had a letter saying delivery w/c 8th November. Emailed them a coupla days ago & they emailed back this morning with delivery date of 11th Dec. I can't afford to buy one from the shops can't find anything as nice either. So guess I'm gonna have to freeze till it finally arrives. On the positive side though I guess all the shivering i'll be doing will burn more calories
must go now got a couple of things to do then got to pick DD up from playschool in 10 mins.Life is like a box of chocs ..... i've got a soft centre but I ate the whole box.

Hi all. Good to see so many of you doing so well.
I have stayed the same this week. The scales have moved all over the place in the last day so i think it is just easier to say STS. I have been up to Glasgow for a wedding at the weekend and then i flew back in time to make a dinner party for 24 on Monday night! So I guess a maintain is actually quite a good result! Oh well, I hope for a reasonable loss next week.0 -
katiepoppycat wrote: »I have a gain of 0.2kg to report which could have been worse. Am trying to be better. Raphael, I know how you feel - i lose, gain maintain and it swings wildly all over the damn place. The stupid thing is that if I i put my mind to it, I know I can shift the weight - I just need to put my mind to it. I find that I can be good all week then at weekends I go to pot - and then i just really go for it, thinking, if I've blown it, I may as well REALLY blow it.
That's what we're here for kpc, a willing audience for getting things off our chests. This does sound difficult - to get such a natural pleasure out of creating meals and entertaining but trying to balance that with losing weight. The first thing that needs to change perhaps is that sense of "well I've blown it once so I'll go the whole hog". (I know you know this)
It seems it would be unrealistic to expect you will cut out every form of entertaining at the weekend. You'll just feel deprived then and lose your sense of who you are. It is a lovely gift to enjoy entertaining and looking after people so that need to remain something positive. So perhaps it's back to planning: allowing yourself a certain amount in advance, so you don't feel you've blown it, it's all part of the plan. Then stopping. Keeping very focussed during the week too is good - well done.

Well Done! Victory, Anic missyg, starlight, grannynise, Bails , Cheery Daff and Emmalis:T . Big Hug :grouphug: x_raphael_xx. I havnt ben able to read the thread lately and have suffered as a result! A 1.5lb gain this week. Visited in-laws this weekend and had friends round for dinner last night. Ate more than I should have on the weekend and last night, and feel quite disappointed with myself now. But not giving up , Exercise video will be on again in a short while and hopefully sensible eating this week.0

Hi again all, back from another wonderful lesson; I'm on cloud nine today!
Thanks for all the congratulations, I really appreciate them. Well done Cheery Daff and Emmalis, hope you're both very happy! Efrieze, a maintain sounds like a very positive outcome after all that, go you!:T
BB, thanks for those wonderful smilies and sound advice as ever - I won't be changing a thing, just keeping the focus with an added incentive of the wedding. So far I have phoned round 116 venues and made fake bookings, only another 38 to go... :rotfl:As for the outfit, I have my Better in my Pocket than Theirs WL savings (£75 so far) and a clothing allowance in my super duper new budget - when I know what time of year it will be I'll start looking around for something fab. I've been taking some tips from Trinny and Susannah (thankyou to whoever mentioned the Littlewoods interactive guide, lots of fun!) and am going to blow everyone away who won't have seen me for a while! (well, anything that's not a tracksuit will make me look like a Bond girl I reckon :rotfl:) How's your back today hun?The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000
