No don't ask me! I won't say! Wild horses won't drag it out of me that they were size 8. Oh look! It slipped out :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh Petrichor I'm so pleased those wild horses were galloping past so that you could inadvertantly share your success. I am so please for you and not one little bit jealous

I am just about to eat a massive load of meat sauce, made of course according to SW principles, poured over a very large pile of [STRIKE]spaghetti[/STRIKE] cooked shredded cabbage. It looks like bolognaise, smells like bolognaise but so completely isn't bologniase. And it doesn't have half a pound of parmesan cheese on top either. It's good but it's not spag bol as it should be. Never mind, it will all be worth it when I'm sending back clothes like Petrichor.

Hi all something weird has happened. After my gain of 4lbs this week and getting my bottom smacked by suggs last night for being a naughty girl I decided to have a sneaky peak on the scales while I was at my mums well my mouth just dropped to the floor when the numbers came up on the screen - the 4lb gain has disappeared since yesterday. So to check I had to go to boots & use their scales and its true they have all gone so now I'm the same as I was last week. how can that happen?? I know I was extra good yesterday but even so a 4lb loss overnight!! I'm not complaining cos it will make next weeks loss look even better. Have been good again today too so heres hoping the coming week finally takes that stubborn 1lb off so I can say my 1st stone has gone.
Life is like a box of chocs ..... i've got a soft centre but I ate the whole box.

BB, you read my mind! Luckily my OH isn't here to be sent :rotfl:so I've come on here to stop myself going! Pjs are going on in a bit so I can't get to the shop (although it has been known... :o)

Haven't had an awful day but just not great, too much wheat mainly which is now playing me up. Hope I don't look like the loo smiley tomorrow! :D

Got a long walk planned tomorrow so that should help; lunch out with my family on Saturday but as it's in 'my manor' I'll pick somewhere that serves healthy stuff too.

Well done on the size 8s Petrichor, you must be over the moon. You've definitely reached target now :D

Some people have no standards - I won't go out with out full make up, hair done, nails...(make note to self never to post photo of average 'dragged through a bush backwards' day)
Have just licked my frog to death :D .15p of heaven.

    I knew you had class.
Sorry about the torture: completely unfair of me. I take it back. Oooh, I've just had a luvverly glass of water. Yummy....Mmm not terribly convincing
Ok, how about: you can't leave the kitten alone - it's dark and windy and it'll be scared. It need cuddles. Guilt guilt guilt...
or half a teaspoon of honey to sate the sweet tooth? Or, dip the kitten in honey and lick it (but not to death, ala chocky frog) Win win situation for you and the kitten I would have thought.
Make sure Mr Bails isn't about to walk in though...

  • bb, i am howling here at the thought of bails licking a honeycovered kitten. thank you!

well the lemon tarts in the oven now and so far the filling appears to be staying in the pastry case. It doesn't seem to be cooking at all but hey, you can't have it all ways. The pastry thing was a real moment for me - it has always been my kryptonite. I have NEVER been able to make decent pastry before - it always crumbles into bits. I've tried butter, marge lard, freezing the ingredients, warming the ingredients, you name it. But the food processor method was fab. Obviously i won;t be using it very often, but still . . .

Just finishing tea - big bowl of pasta to follow a couple of rounds welsh rarebit. SW rules. Although not sure about Granny's subbing cabbage for pasta. Think I'd just eat the meat sauce and not bother with the carbs. Really get into the spirit of SW red days. Lots of foodie things o nthe thread tonight - Suggs your stew sunds nice - leeks are particularly good with chicken, and maybe throw in a couple of peeled, cored eating apples towards the end. gives it a lift. Seren, do you always find one piece of carrot in the bottom of your soup pan? I do and i stand there for ages with the handblender in there. MM, although we post recipes on here, there is also a recipe thread that we all use. go to page one to see it. Or just ignore me i you already know about it.

Well done Petrichor!!!! you are an inspiration to us all. and what a result for emma, 4lb off in a day. I can put 4lb on in day, do you think thats as good?!?

Ha ha, thanks girls for making me laugh (we're having another MiL moment here - do they ever stop??). Resisted the shop, despite all BB's attempts otherwise :D but I'll be saving the honey-coated kitten idea for next time; watch out little man... :p Night all x
