Thanks for the recipe Victory, stored away for one day soon.
Not sure what's up today, seem to feel like eating a lot... Energy levels are low so not that surprising, the weather's not giving me any incentive to do anything either... Hmm, any ideas? I have lots of 'shoulds' but that word is banned for me so want to do something fun - anyone got any good MSE things they've done recently on here? Feel in need of a new challenge!

  • have you named the kitten yet? Don't keep us in suspense!

having a pretty good day actually. Wanted to munch earlier but didn't as have to save syns for tomorrow night. Bit apprehensive about lemon tart. Whenever I make tarts i end up with most of the filling in the bottom of hte oven. Still, I have hopes for this one - I used the food processor to make pastry for the first time and it was lifechanging moment!

thanks for hte recipe Victory, it sounds really tasty.

Not yet KPC, we're 'allowing his personality to develop'... ie being indecisive!:D I'll post a photo soon too, if someone can remind me how that's possible on here...

A life changing moment eh, and from a food processor too! Great stuff!

I've just been for my haircut so I'm a bit behind today, I'll try to come back for another catch up in a while. Hope everyone is feeling great today and keeping motivated!

and what a nice behind it is too :p

Hit the gym fairly hard today, or rather it was hard work. Got home and as I had run out of salad I had a Tesco HL microwave cottage pie (285 cals) with a load of veg and a bit of gravy, It was blooming gorgeous :) I am considering making a chicken stew soon, just going to make up some stock and add loads of root veg and chciken pieces, does that sound ok???

Donna, all the best for later, fingers crossed and no doubt you will be fine :)

  • Your soup sounds fab suggs...
I made up two soups on sunday but they have both gone now...lovely as a nice warm lunch and quite a good portion control as I only have a small flash...I recently bought a blender which is fab for thickening them up without having to faff around with flour but it does mean that everysoup is orange if I've used carrots :rotfl:
  • Can i ask a question please, The chart that is a few posts up, what is that for and is it something that i can join in on??
I very new to how your threads work so please bear with me lol
Ask anything you like donna. Of course you can join our chart - it's part of our monthly challenge to lose 5lb a month that is updated every week. Dellybelly is in charge of this this month so just shout loud in a post and she'll add you on. Then, what ever your weigh in day is, post you new weight and it'll get updated for the following week. (See page one for a better explanation.) Good luck with your weigh in tonight. Get it done, knowing it's downhill from there, for ever :D .
Didn't go to work today: just drained from lack of sleep due to bad back: having to spend half the night sitting up. Went out with friend for lunch to cheer self up (don't get paid when off sick so not swindling boss :D ) BUt impressed my self by just having soup of the day with bread (and no butter) and no scrummy pud from pud board. Haven't had any butter of flora for 6 months now: Love butter but decided it's waisted calories if I want a waist...

Well done on the jazzercise pixie: even though you missed your weigh in, it sounds like you are doing really well and it will all show next time.
Your chicken stew sounds very delicious and healthy Suggs (perhaps a bit of herbs or seasoning?)
Grannynise: you are doing really really well: gold star:T . It is slowly and steadily coming off. To have dropped a dress size or two is brilliant. Soon be a definite size 16 and clothes options then start getting all the more fun.Perhaps get yourself a few things in the sales to keep you going. No point waiting til it's all gone or your new slimmer self will be hidden for too long.
Bails: fab that everything seems to have turned a corner. Tangible progress:j . When I first went back to work after a very long break I was always disappointed when Fridays came... took about 5 years for that to wear off - now I'm normal again:rotfl:

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Hahaha! It was in danger of being hidden forever if I hadn't been for that haircut :rotfl:

I feel like the gym's gonna be hard work today too but I'd better not skip it. Or maybe I'll just do some yoga...

    Mmm cottage pie :D

Sorry to hear your back's so bad at mo BB, hope it improves soon. Well done on resisting the puds, go girl!

Who mentioned cottage pie, Suggs?! I LOVE it! The way I feel today reckon I could eat a whole cowful :D And chicken stew sounds yum too...now what am I going to have tonight?...

Go on missyg, the gym or yoga, either will be great for you (wish I could take my own advice today ).

My connection is on the blink so may give up soon - been on most of the day anyway (not helped by kitten sleeping all day on my lap and not having heart to move him - what IS wrong with him today?!)

Have a great evening all if I'm not around to play x

  • Hi all

Thanks for all your lovely welcomes!

Try to go to my class but apparently has been cancelled so next available one in my area is on Tuesday next week - shame I was really fired up to go. Oh well never mind in the scheme of things five days wont make a lot of difference - it took me 16 months the last time to lose my weight!!

I am really looking forward to trying some of the great recipes i have seen posted.

    Hi Peeps

Well done to our S'OTW raphael :j and rachel :j ...

...85u7nkm.gifdonna and monkey it's so nice to see people wanting to start to tackle their weight problems at this time of year, instead of deciding to leave it until the new year (that's what I did last year and ended up about a stone heavier:o). I hope you enjoy it here with us and have great success...

    now I'm normal again:rotfl:

..Petrichor, good luck with the shopping today, you WILL find something!

...Crumbs! I couldn't believe it :j :j I'm far too modest to tell you what size I bought:rotfl: , it would seem that I'm bragging :rotfl:but I tried some on and they were so huge that DD went and fetched me the next size down, and they fitted fine, in fact there is quite a bit of room so they aren't snug. Just to make sure that it wasn't a fluke, I went into a different shop to try on some more (I was feeling pretty good I must say!) No don't ask me! I won't say! Wild horses won't drag it out of me that they were size 8. Oh look! It slipped out :rotfl: :rotfl: and I owe it all to you lovely peeps, I couldn't have done it without, honestly :T ...

    ...Be back later...

I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!
