Well done to all the losers. I!m sure the good weather helps. It’s still glorious here and we’re having a BBQ tonight, followed by a long walk in the evening for a bit of BM. :j:jmylastpound wrote: »oh guys......im really struggling.
The main culpart seems to be the stress from work (Demanding job with tight deadline mostly) and when i get home i just want to eat junk food and fizzy pop. Even planning my meals in advance can go out the window. im starting to realise im a comfort eater.
im currently low on Iron, so ive had to started back on Iron tablets, it showed as i couldnt stop craving pasta and my hands / feets constantly cold and i was shattered constantly, Im starting to feel better. But now i need to start using my gym membership or do Joe Wicks Hits DVD. as i always feel better when i exercise, mentally. but its the finishing work and self sabotarge that recks it and its a vicious cycle.
i havent been to group for 3 weeks, So if i go back tomorrow, thats £20. i never stay after weigh in as i just find they go round to the room and do the usual happy clap. Personally i would get more from it, if they did a talk on something food related / factual / health ect instead of hearing the weekly losses. i hope that doesnt offend anyone.
i feel like im growing by the day and im living in black leggins and baggy black cardi. i know i can only change, but i just need to rein it in, but im really struggling.
Can anyone share some wisdom?
I am glad we dont just go round the room doing happy clappy, we clap for sotw and nsv, we talk about if anyone has problems, like you for instance and how we can help, about recipes etc.
All i can say, is it possible to set a day at the weekend to do some batch cooking? then its there all you have to do is take out the freezer the night before?
Why not cook some chicken drumsticks, have some crab sticks, boil some eggs in the fridge and they can be your go to? or melon, have some chopped up ready to pick at?
Buy diet fizzy pop and thats fine, or some fizzy water/flavoured water
Hope this helps a bit xSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -

Afternoon everyone.
I haven't posted for a week or so but I'm still reading! Well done to all the losers, keep plodding the rest and happy hols/weekends away/ Bank Holiday weekend to all.
Haven't seen rain like that falling now here in weeks but I'm still wearing sandals (so I have wet feet) - I don't have shoes, only sandals and boots and I refuse to go back to boots - it's almost June!
I've lost another 1.5lbs without really trying this last two weeks through being on my feet all day and walking what must be miles for my casual job so I'm also at the lowest weight I remember for 30 years but still within range of target . My knee is suffering though, so feet up and a few drinks tonight, week off next week then back to it for another 2 weeks.
Hope all is well with those who haven't been here in a while and good luck to those still to weigh in.0 -

For those of you who don't like cauliflower rice try this recipe which we had at tasters yesterday morning:
1 large cauliflower
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp cinnamon
50g feta (3.5 syns)
20g toasted almonds (HEB or 6 syns)
1 small red onion,chopped
pomegranate seeds
lemon juice
chopped parsley
chopped mint
Blitz cauliflower and place in large bowl. Add the spices & seasoning, stir. Turn out onto a baking sheet sprayed with Frylight. Roast for 12 minutes - stir half way through.
Leave to cool then stir through the other ingredients.
This was really tasty.
I would syn the almonds as you'd be unlikely to be able to eat the whole dish!

:T well done to esmy, gtq and gts on your losses. Hope I haven't missed anyone.Hi everyone
Normal service will be resumed soon promise xxmylastpound wrote: »Can anyone share some wisdom?
That's a big ask!:D
Bubbs is right to suggest having SW friendly things easily to hand. I must admit when I read your post I was asking myself why you have rubbish food and fizzy pop in the house. The best way is to just not buy it. I know it's hard but if you did some meal planning (can be as easy as eggs and some ready meals) then it'll make you feel so much better when you see the scales dropping. It really isn't essential to do loads of cooking if you're short of time and energy just set aside a short while to buy in the right stuff. I wouldn't recommend too much of it but if you really like fizzy pop when you get in from work buy NAS. I really like fiery ginger beer.
Sadly I had a happy clappy group too:(. I stuck it out until I got to target but now I just do weigh and go every couple of months in any group that suits me. You could try going it alone and just posting regularly on here my last pound.:)
Here's the Hairy Bikers chilli recipe:
http://www.hairybikers.com/recipes/view/chilli-con-carne#1OrjYI0yZ0f8cDHX.97
I just leave out the meat and put everything else in the SC. As I'm not a veggie I still use beef stock cube and sometimes a red wine stock pot. I leave out the flour. Then to make up for lack of meat I add in loads of Speed alongside the onion and tomatoes. It depends what I have to hand but typically carrots, peppers, mushrooms, courgettes. I usually add 3 tins of beans. Today I'm using red beans, butter beans and some other spotty ones! I never eat it the day it's made as I think it's better left to marinate which seems to happen even in the freezer.
I've done my meal plan and shop for the week today. I'm already being aware that I mustn't buy in too much fresh stuff as I have to use it all up before we go away. I've got a clear week this week, next meal out is Thursday night but I'll have new syns in the bank by then.:D
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, Weetabix HEB, HEA milk
L: LO chickenless casserolebaked cod, SW chips, peas, asparagus, tomatoes, mushrooms

Seeing denise's post reminded me that I had the most delicious cauliflower steaks last week. I'm going to do them again tomorrow evening.
Cut a large steak about 1.5 cm thick from the middle of a head of cauliflower. (I cut 2 and then broke the rest up into florest for another day).
Spray with frylight and scatter liberally with spices. I chose garlic granules and 5 spice but you could experiment.
Roast on a baking tray for about the same time as SW chips. I turned mine over half way through and seasoned the other side a bit too.
I'm not a veggie so I used them as a side with fish or ham.0 -

What can I say - you are all fabulous losers well done :j:j:j:j:j:j:jGettingtherequickly wrote: »- 1/2lb Can't say that I am that impressed, but a loss is a loss!
I have Egyptian family, so only do what they do when it comes to taboulah:D
Simply boil the bulgar wheat in stock, I tend to use veg, no need to worry about how much, as once it is cooked it is tipped into strainer, make sure that as much liquid as possible is drained away.
Then all I do is add spring onions, peppers, 1/4'ed cherry tomatoes, lemon juice & chopped mint. Usually use green peppers as there is then the nice mix of colours. Leave is a bowl to allow the lemon & mint flavours to start absorbing. Good for a couple of days, fresh & flavoured!
Thanks I will have a go at this - I have never ever tried it (or even heard of it before). I like the idea that it gets better with age, and can be kept in the fridge xFor those of you who don't like cauliflower rice try this recipe which we had at tasters yesterday morning:

Change jobs?
I have to say, I have a terribly pressured job with deadlines and scrutiny. To adhere to SW I need to just take fruit and veg to work or I struggle. I eat loads of carrots as they are perfect for a crunch. I have tried to rope in colleagues to help me be good, but they initially tried to get me to be naughty now they just accept that I will not eat rubbish. x
I'm also anaemic, I have been for years.... the medicine does not work for me.100 -
Just realised I haven't put any syns on my menu for today. Wine syns being consumed right now!:D0
