I'm glad your estranged aunt and cousin rethought it. Hope the visit goes well and you have fun on the boat. 
I totally agree about cancelling all engagements. It feels like anything you book might end up cancelled anyway but as you say it's too close now. It's in my house now. My husband has it and trying to keep my kids safe from it is so so hard. Don't know how to clean for covid. All the bleach and antibac do nothing. We are supposed to be going to a wedding and it's making me so stressed.

thank you , i had all honest intentions of getting things done but not many are coming off

so the boat was fun kind of and eventful , there was a well known problematic man on board who NM has had issues with in the past. As the problem guy drank more he became more and more bolshy until he picked on the wrong person and a friend of ours gave him a crack on the nose !!! It made NM birthday as he really doesnt like him and would have loved to do it himself. This was on the way back to dock the boat , NM actually did the problem guy a favour as he got over there and pulled his friend away and took him outside , well before security were anywhere near the commotion. It was decided our friend should get off the boat and I decided that we would with him , number of reasons 1) said friend was upset about it and needed his friends 2) we had been on the boat 5 hours and were getting a bit bored and most important 3) I felt that the problem guy may try and antagonise NM and he may well get a reaction so it was best to get out of the situation. 
I was uneasy about the covid risk on the boat and kept sliding windows open and going out on deck , i really wasn't happy about being on there so was glad for the oppurtunity to leave.
we stayed up in london and came back yesterday morning , I popped out to fill my car up with fuel and to matalan and also did a check on what I had bought for xmas so far and began the wrapping up.
Stayed at NM's last night , since last week when I had a horrendous period I've been dosed up on codiene which has presented me with a few problems with my toilet habits , I've got that sorted but may have gone OTT on the remedies and now I can't trust wind !!! its been a pretty traumatising few hours !!
his car is playing up and is now in the garage so I have no option other then to be at home as he has taken mine to get to work. Hopefully I'll be picking his up later.

Been back on the care agency as the visits are all up the swannie and things are not working as they are , our morning call is often not arriving until 11 , our tea call at 4pm has yet to be before 5.45 and its too close to our 7pm bed call
all of mums ladies have said they are happy to do mum at 3.30 , im currently waiting for the supervisor to call me back , its getting stupid now.

Boat party sounds exciting - but I don't get out much now! 

The care visit thing sounds like my sister's situation, in the end she stopped one of her visits for her partner as it was silly and ended being unneeded. I think your situation is very different and the whole randomness of the visits is incredibly frustrating for my sister and bil.

They finally came at 4 yesterday after I spoke to the manager

the boats are a good day out , usually trouble free but there’s always one bad egg

its a good crowd , more mature ( not sure how old you are ) but it’s a good scene to be involved with as everyone just wants to have fun.

so the week off is semi restful
nm car needs a new pump so he has mine for the moment so im slightly more restricted then normal but it means I've been able to get all of my wrapping up done , with the exception of a few straggly bits still to be delivered.
he feels bad having my car but i dont need it really and i'd much rather he was  able to get to work then i may have the oppurtunity to pop to the shops and spend more money , im doing a good job of that anyway !!

Also got some lights on our mini xmas tree , so at least we look slightly xmasy

Tomorrow I'm going to finish wrapping and sort my room out a bit for xmas , get rid of all the xmas boxes and such like ! 

concerned about the rona risk since sunday , have sent a pcr away , still waiting on results and done a lateral flow which is negative. keeping my fingers crossed for next few days

mums slept so much today , im starting to get slightly concerned.
She looks scared and concerned whenever she is awake but she isn't saying anything, infact she isnt speaking very much , literally eating , sleeping and taking medication. 

house a few days along has sold , not sure what for but it was reduced to 410k and i still think thats too much ! Another has gone up a little further up the street , hasnt been touched since it was built 45 years ago , original kitchen and bathroom and parking alot worse , its up for in excess of 350k so maybe my valuation wasn't too far off 
it seem the time to keep an eye on it may be now approaching , fingers crossed nothing changes before xmas.
