  • so today i feel mostly exhausted
my daughter stayed last night as her car was due at the local garage and as she doesnt finish work until 10 and i felt rude just going to bed on her , it was way past my bedtime before i started to settle down and then mum woke me up at around 12.30 in a state of confusion about what time of day it was.
coupled with a busy day at work , a draining monthly visitor and the emotional feeling of our families further loss today I'll get glad to have dinner , bath and bed tonight in that order.
I could do with popping out as I am meeting a friend for dinner tomorrow and it was her birthday yesterday and should get her something but I can go tomorrow if need be and the way I feel I probably will.

today have spent £ on the euromillions searching for that change of luck
  • tired once again

don't seem to be able to switch my brain off at night despite nytol and a gin and tonic , meeting a friend for dinner before I go for respite at nm's later so I'm hoping I'll be able to switch off when I get there.
Budgeting around £20 for dinner and £10 for a card and birthday gift

My aunties machine was not turned off yesterday as they werent able to complete the final procedures required , it just makes it worse for her children but it is what it is
Heard another friend whose brother is in ICU with covid and pnuemonia and its really tapping in to my health anxiety
My bf has just got over covid and another friend has just caught it , I don't want to leave the house this winter !! I feel like I avoided it last winter but luck will run out and I worry for those around me who will not have the vaccine even though its their risk to take.
I guess they won't until it affects them directly , those who won't hear must feel.

Mums not great at all today , wobbly , away with the fairies and just looks awful , shes still wating ok but has very little awareness of what is going on really - havent heard anything more from the additionall carers the district nurses said they would arrange but it doesn't surprise me really.

I have my MRI tomorrow < things have improved since i started buying over priced gluten free alternatives but the problem still remains , I'm becoming increasingly convinced that the menopause is playing a part too

anyway thats my brain dump for today

please let it be 5pm soon
  • I hope you have a lovely time meeting your friend for dinner and that the MRI goes well.
I think everyone who limits contact over winter will be the safest. We can’t control if others have boosters, wear masks, etc. But we can try and keep ourselves a bit safer.

yes NM and I are due to go to glasgow for a little mini break to celebrate a friends birthday , I dont really want to go but it was booked before the winter wave starting to climb
  • Oh dear you have been inundated with bad news.  I have just refused an invite to go to a Christmas event which will be busy and I am sure there will be no masks worn.  The Covid rate down here is sky rocketing. Hope the MRI goes ok tomorrow.

  • had a lovely evening with my friend but when she dines out she dines out and was ordering stuff to share that i couldnt have ( bread and dips ) so my bill ended up @ 30 rather then the 20 anticipated

it has been her birthday week so couldnt really argue , when i said i couldnt eat it , she just suggested i order an alternative - always half the bill but ordering all the dips when you get some as standard in turkish places , i'm not a fan

got home late so didn't really get an early night

my tyre light is back  on in my car despite the garage looking at it twice so I need to try and get it looked at after work before I go to my appt
have my appt and will try and get to costco for washing powder before coming back
    its just never ending

  • I'm so sorry to hear your sad news.
I'm glad you had a good evening with your friend, despite the extra food orders!  I hope it managed to take your mind off things for a while.

Oh my lovely lady. I'm so sorry for all that's going on. Even the pigging car. Who needs that drama.
Still though it sounds like your social life is starting back up again and that sounds good. I know its hard but I find you fall back into it all. Do your lateral flow tests and be sensible but enjoy yourself. Don't let the anxiety win.
I hope that the referrals start coming through for carers.
