Such awful news - I’m so sorryefes_shareholder said:went to NM's last night , had annoyingly left my purse at his house so had to go back to tesco to pick up veg for beef stew as my emergancy card would not tap and I have no idea what the pin number is .....................put dinner a little bit far behind but eventually we sat down to steak , salad and home made wedges cooked in rosemary and a £7.25 spend on my part
Not good news regarding my auntie , her CT scan has shown extensive damage and they will be taking her off the artificial support in the next few days .............does this year ever stop dealing my family and I a bad hand , haven't broke this news to mum yet , the loss of my uncle realy threw her and I know this will too.
such a huge blow for my cousin too to loose both her parents in space of two weeks.

Sorry to hear about your Uncle and Aunt. As you say dreadful for your cousin to lose both parents in such a short time. Awful disease and just shows we cannot be complacent about it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. its terrible and sadly they were part of the population who thought it was no worse then flu and then it was all media hype and the vaccine was part of some conspiracyenthusiasticsaver said:Sorry to hear about your Uncle and Aunt. Sadly it looks as though this ignorance played a part in their parting , we shall never know whether the jab would have made a difference however its a little reminder that this virus is very much still out there doing its work
In reality they were 66 and 68 with no known underlying conditions with the exception of diabetes for my aunt0 -

Were they not vaccinated then? We have friends who are of the same view and a similar age (early 60s) but they did not get vaccinated as were convinced it was all a big fuss and they have some weird conspiracy theories. We don't talk about it with them but I do have to say we view them differently now.efes_shareholder said:

the last conversation i had with my uncle about was the vaccine was that it was his choice as him not having it didn't put me at any more risk , the same as me having it didn't reduce his risk - the vaccine as i understand it is to reduce your own personal risk and if he chose not to have it then it was his risk to take .................its too late now we will never know but I have been told their son is point blank refusing to accept that covid is the cause and has stated other influences on his public posts etc0 -
thank you , i'd love a turn of luckHumdinger1 said:@efes_shareholder hugs from over here too...you are due some colossal pieces of good luck love Humdinger xx0
