Out of interest, do you think NM agreed to the trip further back than you think , remember the day the promoter asked if you were looking forward to your holiday ? X

crossed my mind but no I don't think he did - I think the promoter has just assumed as a week after asking me if I was looking forward to it , NM was working for him at an event and I heard him say " theres a drink in it for you this year" so I don't think any conversations had been had.

    Did cross my mind though

so i'm calmer lol - I am not going on the holiday , it is far safer I stay at home and it is much more rewarding to use my AL on things I actually want to do.

NM will travel this weekend , he has only just booked his flight , I think he was holding out hope that I would change my mind but that isn't going to happen. His flight turned out to be a bargain , he shouldn't return out of pocket now and will leave the event two days early as he will not be required from that point. If he wants to spend his precious time supporting a rude obnoxious man that really is his choice , I just wish he had been far more up front about it. One day he will realise that the reaction is so much worse when he isnt upfront or is that me praying he does.

Payday has been and gone , decent bonus this month but at my girls weekend away last week I finally broke mt glasses so those will need to be replaced which will be a significant expense. Have home bargains reading glasses at the moment and will carry on with those and potentially I could save a few quid

£200 win on the PB this month too - NM has had £800 in 3 months so he thinks they are positively fantastic !!

Filed my self assessment tax return - I think I may be due a rebate but I find the whole thing very confusing so shall just sit tight and see what happens.

    Car insurance renewed at £300

MC has been over at NM request to fix the long standing roof repair , NM paid him - it was a reduced rate but he still earnt and gladly took it but do we expect less.

As he left he said to NM that his mum wanted to talk to NM as she was planning on putting their house on the market and had told MC that he needed to find somewhere else to go by the end of the month. Obviously there is absolutely no chance he can come to mine but the fact the mum has only given him 5 months and wants him to leave when the property is listed and not sold speaks volumnes in my mind. Apparantly he is going to his friends ( sound familar) but the trip to the coast that was supposed to happen in the NY looks well off the cards now.

another £30 to cash out of quidco - intend to send this to the mortgage overpayments , slowly slowly it will trickle down.

The small amounts really do add up . MC must be driving his mother crazy for her to give him an ultimatum like that

this months mortgage overpayment is currently sat at £210 , I've got a bee in my bonnet about getting rid of the debt as soon as I can………..although I have to accept that is going to take time some proper MSE'ing and I'm looking at a min of a 12 year slog - waiting for my app to update so I can see how much interest I have paid this month.

Am finding it very weird being home by myself , I dropped NM at the airport on saturday and then had been invited to our local social club by some friends , I wasn't feeling it but thought I'd get out of the house , they had live music so it ended up being very worthwhile

Sunday was spent with the grandson.

I have been in the office yesterday and today - I have my SIBO test so I have to eat a low fodmap diet but I'm not well prepared for it so will probably just end up fasting until I finish work tonight. I have steak in the fridge and I am allowed this with salad …………..it should at least provide some energy but until then just caffiene should suffice.

I was invited out to eat by a friend but pointless when I can only eat chicken and rice.

I have submitted my self assessment tax return and I am pretty sure I am due a refund - however I am not resting on it.

I have a 0% card still from house purchases which I really should have cleared by now so potentially I should send it to this but the temptation is to treat myself !!

Well done for not allowing MC back @efes_shareholder. NM will come back with a fresh perspective, maybe? Love Humdinger xx

so the SIBO test has come back positive - Good to finally have a cause ( i hope its the cause of all of my symptons) , frustrating that its taken so long to get there but I guess it shows we have to be an advoacate for ourselves and not be fobbed off with GP's

I have a follow up appt next week where I believe antibiotics will be prescribed. I will be asking the specialist for any hints and tips to keep it gone. I believe wine is definately off of the list but thats ok as I really don't fancy alcohol lately which isnt a bad thing.

Money is all looking well , NM is back from his overseas trip - we have a few quiet weeks until it all gets underway again

Just as I thought money was going ok , we ended up with a drain blockage that proved very problematic

The outpipe runs from the back to the front of the house and water was backing up to the sink , from the washing machine and from the shower upstairs - tried all the usual suggested remedies , Mr Muscle unblocker , baking soda and vineger and a bottle of stuff from the plumbing shop but nothing was shifting it - it just came from nowhere

Ended up having to call a specialist drain company as the blockage was half way between the kitchen and the front door - have learnt its a design fault in these houses but £102 later we now have running water.

Fortunately it has been quite a low spend month

NM is home from the trip , I feel he will return next year but thats up to him. As long as he is up front about it I have no qualms with that choice.

He is not happy with MC - The MC has been dipping once again in to his IHT pot so has learnt no management whatsoever. He called last night to say that he is now moving to a mobile home site where he is renting a unit as his mum is sticking to her guns with his end of month deadline. None of his friends seem to want to accomodate him - I wonder why. NM is not happy with this choice and I think the reality of the last year or so of financial irresponsibility is kicking in, He has told his dad he is going to the bank to discuss a mortgage and will be saving as much as he can !!!!! Is this a light bulb moment - I hope so ! however if he is constantly dipping whilst living under parental roofs I really do not see how he is ever going to manage even the 1000pcm his new abode will cost him unless off course he stops putting the contents of colombia up his nose which I am absolutely certain is the reason he has not saved a penny and has drained half of his nest egg. Those who don't listen must feel and hopefully it will be the making of him !!!!!!
