    Morning all :coffee:
So the busy but fun times have begun. Yesterday was the start of it - I was out and about from 10 until 5 - tutoring (which pays for my cleaner), then off to my mam's. She'd made ham with sweet potato chips for lunch so I felt very saintly indeed. :p It was nice to see her and catch up, and as always she worries about me and how I'm coping with the current situation. Truth is I'm very up and down, overall I know it's good but my heart is more broken than I thought it was. I thought I'd done all my grieving for our marriage years ago but it's all very final all of a sudden. I've felt really nostalgic over the past few weeks, listening to old music that I really enjoyed 'back in the day' and wondering how I got so old all of a sudden :rotfl::rotfl:
Anyway. That sounds more miserable than it should - I'm ok in myself. No point in regretting things that you've done and can't be changed, just pick up and move on. I'm off out to visit a friend today, so 2 days of adult company :j She's almost an hour away so we don't see each other as often as I'd like, but I always feel better after I've seen her so fingers crossed. I also need to get a couple of things while I'm out and about. Nothing big but a couple of things we need for our trip away. We usually go out for lunch but then just chill and catch up. I haven't seen her since I separated from ex (but we have talked lots) but I expect I'll get a big cuddle, which is much needed. So it'll be a mostly mse day :D
Then I have a coaching call with my new trainer to talk about eating well while I'm away. Only I would decide to take on a new healthy lifestyle the week before I go on holiday :rotfl: but I tend to do well when I'm held accountable to anyone other than myself. :D And if I keep making excuses then I'll never start.
Then I need to pack up for the early start tomorrow morning. The kids want to leave at 7am! But I bet I'm not the one who isn't ready at 7am tomorrow... I've written a list of what I need to pack so it shouldn't take too long, and it's only 3 days as well (famous last words).
Right - best get on then.

    Evening :D
Had a lovely day, as I suspected. It's always lovely to catch up with my friend - I feel better just being in her company. Some people are just like that aren't they? I didn't stay for as long as I usually do, because she's not so well within herself and didn't feel up to a long visit, but we had a good few hours. Got a bite to eat (all within my calorie allowance) and did the little bit of shopping as planned - all in budget. Also got ds his PE shoes as he quite liked a pair he saw.
So I drove home about 4pm, had a chat with my new trainer as planned, popped to Mr T to fuel up the car and got drinks and snacks for the journey down. Then did my exercise session (not fun - I will never, ever enjoy doing exercise) and had something to eat. I have packed my clothes, sorted out all of the toiletries and snacks and drinks - just waiting for the kids to sort their clothes and add to the bag. They are excited about going but not yet excited enough to sort their clothes out. Considering they want to leave at 7am they need to get a wriggle on. :rotfl:

    Have a lovely time CCL!
I'm with you on the exercise. I like walking (but not further than about 4 miles max), cycling (as in getting from A to B), dancing to my CDs & gardening. And that's it!

That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Hope you have a fab break with the kids - see you in a few days!!!!
  • CCL, enjoy your well deserved time away. With all that you've been through so far in 2018, you and the kids are truly deserving of some time away and to switch off from it all. I hope the journey fly's in and you have a wonderful time.
