Crazy Cat Lady Chapter 3 - A New Beginning

Hi CCL, I've been lurking on your diary but wanted to post as I have a condition similar to what you're experiencing atm (not the same but the pain will be the same). When you have chronic inflammation like you have, it is imperative that you be kind to yourself and rest as much as possible. You might feel like you can push through but all it does is make the healing time longer and might cause complications for the future. It's something I struggle with myself, but honestly your health is so much more important than work, and from what you've been through you deserve a good rest.Nov 19 CC was: £1334.95 Now: £0!! 1% challenge - 100% Savings:£300.83February take lunch to work: 19/18

Another plea for you not to go into school tomorrow. Tuesday maybe, and only if you feel properly better tomorrow and not just an improvement. Please don't over do it . I'm glad you're feeling slightly better but don't let that fool you into trying to conquer the world just yet.
Hope you have a good week ahead, CCL.0 -

Hey
So I went into work today, BUT I only did 3 lessons and literally nothing else - no meetings, clubs, detentions etc. Stayed well hydrated and sat down for most of the time. I've had plenty of sitting and resting and came straight home as soon as ds finished school. I've eaten plenty and rested so I'm ready for an early night.
I have arranged for someone else to take the kids out on Wednesday to minimise the time that I'm up and about and working - so I miss the trip but the kids don't. And then I'm not overdoing it.
I'm still a bit tired but still feeling better than I have been. Thank you all for the advice - I promise that I am resting and looking after myself. I have only needed painkillers once today as well so that has to be a good thing. I'm doing nothing this evening then going for an early night.
There isn't lots else to report - I just realised I didn't check in yesterday. I was quite a bit better yesterday - made it out of the house for tutoring followed by a trip to Mr S for a couple of bits. That's why you're all thinking I'm rushing it - I've had a day more of feeling better than I've mentioned to you. I was well enough yesterday for present wrapping and boxing the baked goods so started getting stuff done again. Nice to feel a bit more like my old self again. Not giving up

Hello
Still surviving being back in work. Resting lots - I'm allowed to sit down during lessons as well, and things are winding down now. There's no real teaching going on Thursday or Friday so only a bit more to get through... 1 more today and 4 tomorrow. I'm pleased I came back. It will be less stressful to me knowing what's gone on at work right before the holidays rather than start the new year on an unknown.
I am still exhausted, but it is end of the year and I am still poorly, so I'm being as kind to myself as I can. I didn't sleep very well last night, but I'm up and about and getting stuff done.
I'll check in later properly, once I'm home.

Home, showered, ready for bed and relaxing. There's lots I could be doing, but nothing that can't wait until the weekend or beyond so I'm not going to stress about that in any way.
Just sat and had a good cry for my cousin. He died 2 years ago today - we were very close growing up, and I miss him all of the time but it's very hard on the actual anniversary. He was only 46 when he died, and it just seems like such a waste of life - he got sepsis after a very small wound got infected. An utterly pointless waste of life.I miss him. And as if on cue, my littlest black cat has jumped up and snuggled in next to me (she is named after him as I got her the week after he died).
Anyway, I am still very tired so still going to have a very early night... 3 more get ups.Not giving up
