Hey everyone  :coffee:
Apologies for my extended absence from posting. Real life has been a roller coaster recently and I haven't been able to keep up. House appears to be flea free and I have also managed to stock up on flea treatments as well.
Thursday I had to take ds for an ultrasound scan on his kidney. It was a follow up appointment from his hospital stay over the summer and I was really expecting the all clear, but apparently the kidney is still swollen and not draining properly. On the plus side though, he's not experiencing any symptoms but we do need to get it seen by a specialist - so we're now in the queue for that.
Then Friday I came straight home from work and left straight away to go to my crochet weekend. Dropped the kids with my mam to be spoilt rotten for the weekend and I went straight off to Swindon - 5 hour drive. So I was pretty tired when I got there. Didn't take my laptop with me and just really enjoyed the weekend of crochet rather than being online - hence you didn't hear from me. I had the most amazing time though - the whole weekend was being run by one of my favourite designers, and I was a little bit starstruck. What a lovely lady she is - and she told me that I had perfect technique with my crochet (very high praise indeed). I could have happily stayed a few more days just sitting in a room with like minded people and crocheting stuff, but alas - by Sunday pm I had to do that 5 hour drive again to get home in time for work on Monday.
Kids were home when I got home, and cats had obviously missed us - the neighbour must have kept letting them into the house because the trays were very full indeed - that was my first job when I got in. Managed to unpack and do a couple of quick loads of washing in time for work yesterday.
That's right. I'm still not on half term yet - I'm into week 8 of half term and am feeling close to death in terms of how tired I am. It's not fair to keep going on this long with Ofsted, no break etc. Still 3 more get ups and everyone is so worn out - both staff and kids. Roll on Friday 3pm.
Before that though - I am in court this afternoon. Again. Not holding my breath for anything other than a large bill at the end of it. I'm about 99.999% certain my ex won't turn up, and about 99.99% certain that the judge won't do anything today in terms of making a decision. Meh. I wish it wasn't such an unpleasant experience - I always feel pretty dreadful at the end of it so I expect I'll be fairly wiped out when I get home later. I will try and check in though and let you know how it's gone (if I can - I need to be careful what I post on here). Not giving up

Ugh. I just spent ages typing a really long post out and then accidentally hit a key that replaced my lovely long post with a single letter 's'. Gutted.
Anyway, huge apologies that I didn't get on here to update last night. It ended up taking far longer than I thought. The plan was for me to leave work at lunchtime, be at court for 3pm, in and out in 10 mins. Go home, pop to the docs with dd for a 5.10 appointment and spend the remainder of the time resting and relaxing and doing some crochet.
Didn't go according to plan. Got to court at 2.30 to be told that it was running approximately 90 mins late. During that time I sat on my backside, in a room with my solicitor, while we discussed children, being a teacher, being a solicitor, what people are like, the weather, shopping etc etc while he got paid £175 an hour by me. Anyway - when we eventually did get in, we were in and out in 10 minutes. I'm not going to say exactly what happened on here because as we expected, my ex didn't bother to turn up, Dog the Bounty hunter had no luck in finding him, and I think he's probably reading this. I don't like the idea of him not bothering to come to court and not engaging in the process only to catch up with goings-on by reading my posts on here. What I will say though is that there has been a very small amount of progress made in my favour, and of course we are going to have to go back to court on the first available date after the 3rd of December.
Got home and got dd to the docs with 2 minutes to spare before her appointment time, only to find that her doctor was running 57 whole minutes late. I actually felt like crying because all I'd done for the whole afternoon was sit and wait for things that were running late. Anyway, she had her medication review and we got home just after half past six. So much for my relaxing afternoon and evening. Then ds needed to borrow my laptop for school work so I didn't get to report in.
Bell has just gone and I'm teaching so I'll try and report back later...Not giving up
