Just sitting and enjoying a sneaky can of G&T - bought for me by a work colleague because I covered a lesson for him during the week while he went to see his kids sports day. Bless him. It feels cheeky but I'm not going out after work tomorrow so need to be celebrating end of term tonight. 2 lessons plus an hour with my form class to go :D And it's non uniform day.
Sounded off to the Head and one of my good work mates about what happened with the ex member of staff. They are not coming back in September (confirmed by the Head) so I suppose I just need to move on and stop being so annoyed with someone else's issues. It was just a bit unpleasant for a while. I consider myself to be a nice (ish) human so feel it was a bit undeserved - that's all. I suppose that they have lost their job though, which isn't so nice.
DS has just brought his packed bag down and left it in the living room. DD got me to help sift her stuff earlier (think she was packing for a month away) to get her bag less full :rotfl: Just tomorrow's smellies and stuff to pack then finished. There's a load of washing going through at the moment and I've stuck a load of bread and some milk in the freezer. Got a text from my mam reminding me to bring her some tax free ciggies back, which I hadn't forgotten as I have a load of money belonging to her in my purse.
More recycling to go out and 1 cat litter tray left to clean.

There is a phrase "Not my circus, not my monkeys" which I think applies perfectly to whatever drama your ex coworker is trying to stir up! Do not fret about it! Have an amazing holiday.

How many minutes left? Demand a taxi to the airport and a fuelled jet to a remote location - the last half day of school always felt like a hostage situation anyway.

    Have a great holiday.

    Hello
I'm back! We've had a wonderful week away and it's been almost perfect (couple of hiccups along the way), but I am tired. 2 hours ahead in Bulgaria so my brain thinks it's after 11pm and I'm ready for a sleep. I have unpacked most bags, found the hidden cat pee stinking the place out, opened some windows and doors and had a bite to eat. Tomorrow I have a parcel to pick up plus a bit of urgent shopping to do, then the task of washing and getting settled back in at home.
Weather was nice every day and we got a lot of relaxing in the sun done, and ds loved the slides at the hotel. DD loved the fake designer goods and spent most of her money on those. I got a new tattoo done - had been promising myself it for a while so went for it, and dd had her hair highlighted as well. So it's been fun and busy but also relaxing, and stuff is so cheap out there so my mam has lots of cigarettes and I have lots of alcohol, and it was nice enough that both kids want to go back to Bulgaria again next year if we can afford it.
The only downside was the airport at Burgas - really too small for the number of people there and some really rude staff. I complained to a member of staff about the fact that we had queued for check in for ages today and then we were held when it was our turn to let someone else in front of us who had gotten in the wrong queue. I said I thought that was really unfair then I got a telling off from the staff member who was physically blocking my way to stop me and the kids checking in. They told me that it was 'only 4 people' - I said I didn't care. Anyway, after that little argument and through security I was then 'randomly' selected for an explosives residue test, then I set the metal detector off with my bra... Ugh. Not a pleasant experience, followed by them running out of coke zero on the plane, and not having the perfume dd wanted to buy. On the grand scheme of things it wasn't a very big deal at all but a bit of a dampener on the end of the holiday. Still, we're home, the cats are all here and fabulous and I am relaxing on my sofa. Haven't had a cup of tea yet, but that will be tomorrow now - and then the diet starts again as well.
Also happening today was the second court date. I haven't heard anything from my solicitor so I don't know how that's gone. I'm hoping that no news is good news for me but I will be fretting all weekend and until I hear one way or the other. I kind of hoped I would have had an email or phone call, but I would have missed it if it were after 2pm as I was on the way home.
Right folks. I was going to catch up on here but I am absolutely exhausted so I think I'm actually going to head straight off to bed and I'll start again tomorrow.
