Received £20 compensation for the offshore lady's inappropriate advice.
Also told you can switch accounts via phoning Barclays. Save me having to visit the branch.0 -

There's a note somewhere that says messaging isn't available using number and memorable word or something. This isn't entirely true as the red number comes up on messaging and it shows you the message when you click on the number, but you can't go any further i.e. mark as read or reply.
I accessed online banking by confirming my ID with a NATWEST card reader rather than pinsentry as mine hasn't arrived yet..0 -
e-mail from Natwest- switch to Barclays starting, due for completion May 29th.
Bye bye RBS!
Just a thought- all this confusion with Natwest must indicate that lots of folk are deserting them for Barclays?Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

I left Natwest many weeks ago. Did well with them though I got a lot more that £125 after my complaints.0 -

Are Barclays any better, or put it another way are Natwest any worse than Barclays?
I'm just starting a switch from Barclays to Natwest as Barclays couldn't offer me an online switch as an existing customer and yet Natwest could ( as a new one).Keef - Sheerness, Kent UK0 -

Well, as far as my experience of opening an a/c and switching Barclays is streets ahead- by a mile!
Natwest gave me the run around and a half and like Mchambers I left with more than the £125 as I had several very valid complaints.
You only have to read the thread about Natwest (if you don't fall asleep in the process!) to see that folk had very different experiences- some brilliant and some mindbendingly slow.
In all this I just tell myself it's not my main account and just a bit of money making fun so I try not to get toooo serious.
However, so far, bouquet for Barclays.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Thanks for that.
We will see how it pans out.
Just had one of those feedback emails from Barclays. Funnily enough you don't have to go into a branch to fill that in.Does anyone ever bother with those?

Can someone confirm the following...
If my wife and I both switch a current account to Barclays, are we both eligible for £14 pm in double rewards?
As we have just finalised a mortgage with Barclays, in joint names, are we also both eligible for £10 pm reward?
so that would be £48 pm between us before account fees.
Sounds pretty good, so i'm guessing I have got it wrong!0
