Evening all,
Back from work in a roundabout way, as yet another road is now closed for a fortnight **sigh**.
Dinner was reheated from the freezer stash, kitchen has been s&s, as has bathroom. The duster was shown to the bedroom, and the wm is loaded for tomorrow.
I've just eaten a froglet, which has been hanging over me but has now been banished.
Camomile tea and a spoonful of honey being slurped in an attenpt to banish sleeplessness in the early hours. And it just had to be accompanied by a rhubarb muffin. And that, fellow slinkies, is why I put a pound on this last week over and above the yo-yo pound that is also back again.
GWS vibes for Valli x0 -
Me again.
Up early to tackle the ironing pile before going to work for an extra morning. Which will no doubt stretch to the afternoon. Dinner out from the freezer plus using some random bits from the fridge, so that it sounds like I have at least made some attempt at the list. If I have cleared all my gibble, then it's off to Valli's to tackle her's :rotfl: Dream on, flylady friends!
Hope eveyone is ok and that it's sunny where you are.0 -
OH is off to London today so I'm going to drop him off at the station and then deal with the pots on the front steps. It's time to hoick out all of the bulbs and overblown winter pansies and violas and replant with geraniums and lobelias. The lavendars are looking a bit leggy but I think I'll leave them in nonetheless.Better is good enough.0

How hard did you cut them back, Kazwookie? I've replanted all of them but they look a bit scruffy. If everything I've planted around them takes it'll cover the bald middles, so it might be okay. A couple of them were in flower.
It took four hours to do the pots on the front steps and I haven't finished clearing up but they're done. Huge job over and done with - hurrah!Better is good enough.0 -
Evening,
I hope everyone is ok, it's looks as if it's been a very quiet day on here.
I've just sat down, and am waiting for DH to offer to make a cuppa. It may be a while coming.
It was a long day at work as predicted. When I got in, I set the wm going, stripped the bed ready to wash tomorrow, cooked dinner and tidied uo the kitchen. DD and I have just been doing some French practice for her exams, then it was a quick foray into the loft to search for something that she needs for her art exam. DH was thrashing around searching for it, I took over and pulled it straight out of the box. He wasn't impressed.:rotfl:0 -
Suitcases retrieved from top of wardrobe.
Packing list consulted and what we can pack now [STRIKE]thrown[/STRIKE] tidily placed in suitcases.
Towel'n'hankie wash done; line dried; 34 hankies ironed (of which 24 were packed).
Nervous breakdown narrowly averted.
Pub visited.
Champagne drunk (at home - can't afford pub prices for champagne) cos it's Beltane. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Morning All
Despite feeling wobbly I am adopting a "watch out Wednesday, I'm coming to get you" attitude
Today's plans - volunteering, dog walking, lots of ebaying (I will be ruthless; cannot afford not to be) and general fluttering.
I hope all are well - it is very quiet on here.
Have lovely days all xxMFW
