Good morning everyone. I hope everyone is ok, and hugs, sticks and spoons all round as required. It's a cold grey day here, so not a good start to the week. Couple that with yet another rubbish night's sleep, and I am definitely not raring to go.

I've got a full day at work today, which was unexpected as I had been asked to swap. I'll be back later to do (hopefully) level one from the list this evening.

Have a lovely day all. X

    Hi girls

Hopefully in again this week. Last week was a disaster, so I've drawn a line under that and am moving forward.

Lots of flying, shifting, sorting and flinging planned for this week, so wish me luck. I've got to get a grip on the need

DH is working on his year end stock take today, so I'm already feeling sorry for the lads at work. I'll send him in with cakes tomorrow as an apology. This will be his last late shift at work (with luck) as he starts his new role in 1st May :j

Right, dress the small beans then fling them off to breakfast club, even though they've already emptied the cupboards here :rotfl:

Morning all. Hope you are all ok and that your throat eases soon Valli.

I have dusted the dusty bits in the LR and me and the dogs are just having breakfast.

Once I have washed up, I will get dressed but will take the hoover upstairs with me and do the bed and floors while I am up there.

    Have a great day everyone.

Once more I shall at least attempt "in" this week. :o We are now dogless til after our holiday; I have suggested we get the cases off the top of the wardrobe and start [STRIKE]flinging stuff in[/STRIKE] packing them neatly. I have already sorted out our prescription meds; it seemed sensible to do this as a priority in case I needed to re-order.

Mr LW has vacuumed; I don't think there was much to pick up as Honey is a non-shedder.

We are seriously thinking of using some of my @mazon vouchers for a K@rcher window vac, as we both now really struggle to clean windows - thing is, there are about 4 different models, so I can't decide which would be best for us. We only have a tiny bungalow, so not a huge amount of windows; but something tells me not to go for the very smallest one. Hmm - just not sure.

atb I hope you're feeling a little better than you were. Have a (((HUG))).
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

(((Hugs))) ATB and *healing vibes* for you, Valli.

Kelpie and I are shut in the sitting room and the kittens have the run of the house. One of them sat on OH's lap while he was at his desk this morning - as Devil Cat used to do. It was the black one, too.

Tricky things done, things tidied and I'm now going to go and plant some pots up, and then plant some plugs into pots.
    Better is good enough.

This is a bit out of focus, but it's here at last.

Link was for dropbox - think you need to upload to imgur to get it visible, HB.

Valli, I've always found that hot mango juice is the gentlest on sore throats - my concoction for such things involves ginger, mango juice, sliced up citrus of all kinds and honey - and a bit of thumped garlic if it's particularly bad, as it seems to kill all known germs but without the tender bits feeling as though they've been bathed in the fires of Mordor in the process. And tomato soup with chilli flakes sorts out the rest.

No heating at work today. My hands were too cold to function at all and the photocopier went on strike by jamming repeatedly in its unheated room. The nice caretaker has tried to switch the heating back on, but it's temperamental at the best of times, so a colleague who starts earlier than me is going to make a fuss for a portable heater if it's not toasty in there tomorrow morning. Got back to find Himself was out (I assume he's seeing his DS), no heating and in the two hours since I've got back and fired up the CH at tropical heat setting, my hands still haven't warmed up.

Hopefully he'll be back soon with some decent food - but I did rip his head off this morning after he kept me awake until 2am with music through the study door, then woke me up at 5.30am when he came to bed and then mumbled something sarcastic at me at 7.00am because I wasn't quick enough to switch my alarm off. So he might be hiding in the pub instead, especially as my lunch consisted of carrot sticks, tomatoes and some leaves, no cheese, no dressing, just a bundle of zero calorie items. [shrug]

Never mind. As long as he's back by 8 to pay the windowcleaner...[looks at clock].
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
