I had a Sony MP3 player that broke from amazon at around 9 months old. Emailed them, got an email back asking to post it back. The money was in my account within 3 days, so you can' say fairer than that!
  • hiya all a quick update returned the player but they used the wrong details to refund me . Asked them to refund me with the correct details , does anyone see any problems in this ?

Did they get the details wrong? If so, you should be fine x

  • They did i had my wallet stolen so i had to get a new card so i corrected the the card details on my account. Been checking my account for the last few days to see if it showed up and it hasnt.I doubled checked to see if the details were correct but they sent it to the card details that i had previously not the one that i corrected.

I'm sure they'll sort it, may just take a while longer as they will have to recall the original payment x

  • I have had a similar problem with an MP3 purchased from play.com, the problem is when I tried to use their online returns policy it would seem I am not eligable for a refund as I have had the item over 28 days. Has anyone had a similar problem with play or got any ideas on what I should do?

Ask them nicely, beyond that you don't really have any consumer rights as such (play.com is based in Jersey, not the UK) unless you take advantage of any possible manufacturer's guarantee.
