I think tomorrow we'll have a bit of time and energy to do a bit around the house, apart from going out for lunch. OH spent the morning kitten proofing the yard, and they were allowed out to explore a few more rooms. They've seen Kelpie who, regrettably, seems a bit too intrigued by them for me to feel utterly confident he's going to ignore them.

Things are sort of tidy-ish, which is as much as I can manage. I've lost the booking chart so I do hope that the person who's arriving is coming next weekend and not tomorrow!
    Better is good enough.

Morning all. Hope that all those with the pox or tonsillitis are feeling a bit better and that the little dog had a great night with LW. Our Poppet is fear-aggressive, was to the point of refusing walks, but we've been trying the 'lead stroking' method with her and she is almost transformed in just a couple of weeks.

Anyway, not a lot of flying got done here yesterday, just the dailies as I had food shopping to do and social stuff in the afternoon.

Today I'm going to prep a lasagne, walk the dogs, then I'm off to DD for more wedding prep.

    Have a great day everyone.

Has everyone had Sunday off, then?

We have just bid Honey farewell for now; she'll be back for her "proper" holiday in June, and her owners are talking about a possible booking later in the year. :T

All I have really achieved today is a WM load of Mr LW's clothes; we have to go out for a short while tomorrow morning (suspect I will be required to navigate) but then I really do need to catch up with some Flying. Not so much "flap, flap" as "flop, flop" this week, I fear!
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Good dinner yesterday - but today was back to normal.

Toad in the hole. Otherwise known as 'eat one burned sausage, poke at the alternately burned beyond recognition and raw batter with gravy coloured water splashed on it, then chuck it in the bin still wondering what happened to the vegetables'.

Last time he did it, it was perfect. And had vegetables. And there had been breakfast and lunch provided. This was so bad, he didn't even attempt to pretend he was going to eat it himself, but said 'was it supposed to have anything else with it? You didn't tell me'.

Bah. He's now silently cleaning the hob. With a metal scourer and non eco friendly spray clearly marked Do Not Use On Hob whilst I'm glowering at the cheap chocolate chip muffin (I don't like chocolate anything) that is apparently supposed to cover an entire day's protein, vitamin and calorific needs.

Four nights of edible food must be a record, though.

I will, of course, require updates on their progress. I bet they get slugged. :D

I found that really useful, Jazee. I'd never heard of it before, so thanks for posting about it.

Busy day. 4 x WM, three of which are out on the line, the last one is still twirling on a long wash. I've saved space for it on the lines in the yard so I'll peg it out when it's finished. Ground floor vacuummed and washing up cleared several times.

My intray is looking depleted which is a good thing, and managed to reconcile my March bank statement which for some reason I couldn't a couple of weeks ago. It turned into a bit of frog. Had yet another crack at sorting out my state pension anomoly which I've been trying to deal with since 2016 - two steps forward, one step back every few months. We've also finished as much of the paperwork as we can for the Lasting Powers of Attorney for both of us. Irritatingly I've got to wait until I can get back into my office to print something off because I don't want to disturb the kittens again today.

They've been out and about a lot in the house but we are worried about their reaction to Kelpie so we've contacted their rescue organisation to explain the problem and they've suggestd a way forward which involves kit. Whatever it is, it needs a roof because these two can jump a babygate in a flash - and they do, often.

I feel as though I'm drowning in it all again.
    Better is good enough.
