  • Children are foul. Had the most Urrrrrggggggghhhhh day in work for a long, long time - and it wasn't just me, it was the entire place all day. Roll on Study Leave.

Himself is finally back after weather delays - and is still a bit overwhelmed by all of it. So much so, he got all emotional when talking about how much he wanted to come home on the day I'd ripped his head off, but deserved it and made a point of doing as he was told afterwards.

He's also apologised profusely for leaving me with the cleaning - mainly because he came in to find it so clean and tidy, he realised just how much I'd had to do.

Other than that, he's applied for a proper job  and is, once we've spent tonight eating takeaway and vegging out, going to get on with things like paying his way/funding something resembling a 'Life', whatever one of those is. And I've been offered a festival job in the summer holidays :D

The only irritation is that it appears that somebody on the building site over the back apparently has a catapult, as the bathroom window was cracked when he got in - and I found two perfect sized pieces of building hardcore on the patio. So I've got to sort that out in the morning.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

    Evening x

    King size bed changed
Tumble dryer bottom filter cleaned out and the inside of where it lives.

    Took dancepops to an appointment.

It has been a strange day. I was just putting my Dad back into my car when I heard a clunk noise then saw a black car key sitting on my drivers seat. I thought it strange how it had got out of my pocket. When I picked it up I discovered it wasn!!!8217;t mine. I contacted everyone who has been in my car lately and it belongs to none of them.

Well done ATB & Pigpen on weightloss too, it is so exciting to be in the next category so stick at it Pigpen and you will find a new burst of enthusiasm.

Thank you and un grand merci for all your kind wishes.

Didn't fly yesterday evening as went to get car, after nearly 4 months waiting for accident repair, and they hadn't repaired part of it so refused to accept it. Result was we both came home feeling rather flat and disappointed. So still no towball, hence no trailer trips to the tip and can't use the boat (if and when weather dictates). But pleased as I didn't resort to wine which I would have done previously. I am actually learning to appreciate having a drink as a moment to be enjoyed, with good food or friends and family. Not on ordinary weekdays just because I got to the end of the day!

Hair cut at the end of the afternoon so should be home a bit earlier and will try and get some bits done.

Washing sorted so will put WM on on my way out.

Hugs to all and have a good day
    xx

    Morning all.
A long list to get through today, in no particular order:
Errands and market - because I am walking past it
    Small grocery shop
    Wash hair
    Run dw and
    Change bedding
Get some weeds back from the allotment for the green bin, if it doesn't rain
Take DD volunteering later this afternoon
    Go volunteering this evening
Mound of paperwork, including some that I must do for this evening
    Clean bathrooms - desperately needed.

Yesterday's still not dry washing is out on the line. The dry stuff has been ironed. Airing cupboard sorted. I guess I had better get on.

went to school.. had a major rant to the head and deputy about one of the girls teachers telling lies. OH came with so he knows what was said.. several ponts raised ending in me demanding a referral to an educational psychologist for Dot if school are struggling with her as much as her 2 day a week teacher says they are then they need to sort it right? Stupid cow said Dot behaves like a 2 year old.. yet at parents evening they told me how grown up and mature she has become over the last 6 months.. and apparently there are issues with Squeak and Pixies behaviour but when I spoke to their teachers they all said both of them are angelic and perfectly behaved.

    Kitchen degrotted
3 soda siphons deposited on a friend
recycling out again.. where does it all come from.??
kitchen bin still need emptying OH didnt do it yesterday so now I have to struggle with it.

Then I need to make some front room space so I can shift some stuff out of there so I can fit the stuff in from DD3's room... so I can decorate it... oh the joy!! It is all never ending in here.

Mads... I am so very close to the next BMI bracket and the next stone bracket it is incredibly frustrating that due to AF the last couple of weeks have been slow weight loss.. but it is reducing and I will get there!! thank you xx

Shopping done and put away. DW and WM run and emptied. Put boots on to go to the allotment. It started to pour. Boots off, cleaned a toilet. Sun came out, boots back on, started to pour, cleaned a toilet. At the third attempt I gave up.. But the bathroom and shower are clean and my hair is washed and dried!

Floors swept and mopped, fridge raid happening as I am famished.

Benny is eating carrot...started off with carrot peelings, then did carrot shavings this morning; just done grated carrot...

(peelings = just skin; shavings = keep going peeling even when peeled; grated = CBA to peel)

    am so pleased...
:T:T:T Bless his little bunny socks. I will keep the healing energy coming til you tell me he's completely well.
Re carrot shavings - English Spaniel Jack (now sadly in the Summerlands) used to love carrot, so I used to allocate him a carrot of his own, and shave bits off with a potato peeler for him as a treat.

Well done all the successful Slinkies - I think I may have permanently lost 1 lb. I'm a little tentative about posting this though, lest it find it's way back on. :D

I actually have some Flying to report, too...
Mr LW was watching a particularly execrable film last night - mawkish garbage, with the most annoying soundtrack ever to grace the Silver Screen; so I ended up rage-cleaning
