    Just lost a post. Tedious.

Glad the hosptial appointment went well, Fayolle, that Benny Bunny is on the mend and the essay got submitted in time, Ionafan. Well done.

Yes, Kazwookie, superglue is the answer for the broken poppy. Fortunately the glass vase the poppy was in didn't break so no harm to the kittens which is what it seems really mattered to me.

Sundeck coming on, massive job sorted at the Foodbank yesterday which I wasn't at all sure I could manage, so I feel rather chuffed about that. I think we're about keeping up on most things but it's all silly busy at the moment. Small piles of crud everywhere ....
    Better is good enough.

Want a laugh? Mr LW didn't believe "grot" was a real word.
We were playing Scrabble yesterday, and I put down grot as my turn, and he challenged it, and made me get the dictionary! :rotfl:
What does he think I expend vast amounts of time and energy removing from various locations, mainly in the bathroom and kitchen?? :rotfl:

Oh atb I had a week like that a while back, just couldnt shake this feeling that everything was !!!! and nothing was ever going to change. Sending you a big squishy hug xxx

Been for a 150 mile round trip to look around the college with DS1 where he is hoping to get a residential placement. Soo many mixed feelings about this, I want him to do this but it will be really challenging for him with his health problems. Exhausted now.

Pouring down here and chilly too. Have tried really hard to keep doing a little flying each day this week so the house is not too bad.

And LW tell Mr LW that being married to a fully fledged flylady he should know that the word grot exists.

The fact that 'Grot' might not be a word?? Feel free, LW, to send Mr LW in this direction for education on the reality of Grot.

    It's been a long day.

Lots of ((hugs)) ATB. It's horrible. Xx

Maybe I'm just too efficient at getting rid of the grot, so he doesn't think it actually exists? :rotfl:
Just as an aside, according to the dictionary, "grot" is also a poetic word for grotto. :o

Mr LW has just been despatched to the bedroom - no, nothing like that, get your minds out of the gutter; it's Saturday, which means it's bedlinen-changing day. :D I'd like to get it washed before Honey arrives, at 14:00.

**Dutifully drags mind out of the gutter :) ** What sort of loveliness is Honey, LW? Enjoy your visitor.

So tired this morning, probably not helped by the dismal cold day outside, I have pottered about - wm run, dw emptied, ironing done, seeds sown. The windowledges in (one of) the RoD are now filled with seed trays which may or may not result in us living off courgettes come the summer. One variety was called Honey Bear :D

DH is putting up the new blind on the landing. I am keeping out of the way, as we are now about 2 hours in to what should have been a 15 minute job. I am stopping myself from "having words".....

She's a Shih Tzu. It'll be her first stay with us. She's a little sweetie with humans, but she's fear-aggressive towards other dogs, so we'll be keeping a close eye on her on walkies, and choosing less-doggified routes (she's little so I can even pick her up if necessary). She's just staying overnight this time, as much as anything to get her (and her Mum, who is - shall we say - a very anxious lady) used to her coming here; then she's got a 2-week holiday with us in June. :o
ETA: I should just leave your DH to his own devices; I'm sure he'll get the blind sorted out eventually.;)

  • Last night was good - left work bang on time (mainly because I'd spent the previous 45 minutes trying desperately not to fall sleep at my desk), got in and Himself made yet another really nice meal - after I gave him about 5 alternative ideas - and then I actually slept properly and soundly until about 10am. Well, I was vaguely conscious of Idiot Animals prancing about the place, but I didn't care enough about it to wake up and say rude words at them. Finally let myself wake up at 11am and, whilst there is obviously the customary pain whenever I do anything , I actually felt well rested. Which is remarkable.

Himself is now cooking Breakfast/Brunch/Lunch and I'm thinking about telling him I'm cooking tonight. But I might change my mind about this.

After food, I think I'll potter about in the bathroom for a little while. No grot in there, but if the bloke is coming to measure up for a replacement double glazing unit this coming week, maybe I'd better ake double certain.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
