And a bit of optimistic vacuum shoving happened.
Optmistic vacuum shoving = trundling it around the middle of the rooms and along the landing and through the hallway I can can pretend I have cleaned the rooms...
I thought that was cleaning a room? Seriously, I discovered years ago that clearing the floordrobe, clearing the sides in the kitchen, doing the washing up, making the beds, emptying the bins and running the vacuum round the bits that show transforms the whole place.
All the rest, all of it, is the stuff that can be done when time makes it possible which it often, frankly, isn't.
So glad bunny is feeling a bit better and the furballs have been coughed up. Your cat is big girl's blouse.
I hope the wordcount rockets today for you, Ionafan. You've certainly done more already this morning than I manage on most days. Hats off to you.
Up earlier than usual, both cats have finally eaten something, OH spent an hour with them this morning and I fenced the babygate so we can leave the door open sometimes, and they slept wedged together under the futon in my office. (OH thought they'd both escaped because he couldn't find them!)
I've done Flying stuff on the sundeck, trundled Kelpie twice, sent an email, renewed my library books and cleared the washing up.
Has anyone heard from ATB recently? Did she post last week?Better is good enough.0 -
Made a good start on my Flying and have this left to do - if I do it I do it, if not never mind!
Manic Monday ~ Kitchen and dining room
Wipe the cupboard fronts and all those manky corners!!
Clean oven
Pick a cupboard and empty and clean it out and replace only what you wish to keep!
Stopped now to make a start on a typing job that's come in this morning and then have to leave ready for my lesson on Breggey at 10.45. Will finish typing and try to do more flying after; stopping at L*dl on my way home from yard so will do food shopping then.
My cunning plan for the mornings is to take DH up a cup of tea after I've had my breakfast and have mine with him but then, instead of lying in bed going on Facebook etc, get up, shower/dress and get my Flying done very first thing as I can be quite productive in that hour. Need to really focus on getting a system in place instead of leaving it all then not being able to face it as it's just too mammoth a task.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

I am here HB, thanks for thinking of me sweetie xx
Utterly rubbish week last week. My lovely lovely grandma has been diagnosed with cancer - I was with her when the consultant delivered the news. She's in her 80s and has gone downhill rapidly these past few weeks. Now we are looking at palliative care (I say we - me. Rest of family utterly useless).
I have been gently flying to keep on top of things, but any spare time has been spent dog walking to keep my head clear.
Much love to all - will post again soon xxMFW

Gert hugs ATB and some for your lovely gran too.. My nana survived breast cancer in her mid fifties only for dementia to kick in late 60s, stripped her of everything and eventually took her life.. Other than my sister and a family friend no one else helped, not even her own sons! Life can be cruel sometimes. I do hope you can source some support for yourself as you will need it!!
I have been very pro active.. Along with attacking the kitchen and cleaning up I've been in the garden too.
Trimmed, klippered and mowed the back lawn, weeded the flower bed, dug in compost and re potted a few plans that have been waiting for this better weather..
Swept, weeded between the patio slabs and swept again.
WM on, spun & put on line to blow in the breeze..
Made salmon and tomato pasta for lunch.. Spag Bol for boys tea tonight.
Cleaned sides and windowsill (removed plants had left a mess)
WDLTD
Vaccumed the whole of downstairs..

2 large chairs and 2 candelabra decluttered to the CS - I have space in my miniscule dining room
Rosie is slightly confused because I have moved her water bowl again, but no doubt she will cope!0 -
ATB (((HUGS))) and hoping that whatever else life throws at her, your Gran is at least comfortable and not in pain.
Mr LW has cut the grass again; I went out and shifted some weeds while he was out there.
Unfortunately we are going to be disrupted by workmen - there's a city-wide project to bring some sort of super-duper fibre broadband in, and they are digging up every damn street in the city; it seems the "service strip" as they call it runs through our front garden so they will be digging part of that up, too.:mad::mad: Noise, dirt, nowhere for visitors/clients dropping off dogs to park - ruddy nightmare!
I have done a WM load, which is out on the whirligig; the BM is on yet again; and I've blitzed the rest of the kitchen to the best of my rather limited ability. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
