Emotional spend of £3.29 on a pack of cornetti after walking the 3 miles home from work and passing a Tsco Xpress. I am trying to build up my stamina for a walking holiday later this year, where some of the walks are 10 miles. I can manage 6 with a break, but not sure about 10. Mind you, was on my feet nearly all day .And it was still hot when I got home at 9pm. Enough excuses, I have puddings for the next few days.Grocery challenge 2025: £650/1500 annual budget0

Oh dear, popped into Sainsbugs on the way home and ended up spending £31.15. Essentials (bread, cheese, milk etc.), but also ready meals and a treat or two as well - beer, tunnocks teacakes (our new fave)
Thank goodness just one more day left. Am determined not to break the £400 barrier. :j
Sadly no-one is interested in my old tat on ebay still

Did a shop on Monday at Lid... £45.20 spent mainly on fruit and vegetables, followed by a £13.40 spend at Sain.... on things I couldn't get at Lid...
Yesterday we were out all day mainly driving. Stopped for diesel and spent £2.19p for my DH on a magnum, on the way back had to stop again for more diesel and this time the magnum (same variety) was £1.20p Some shops make a huge profit!!
Unfortunately I've overspent this month by £46.99 sad.
I keep a tally on my average daily spend. I want to get down to £7.60 per day, currently it's 9.95. That's just for two of us plus a small dog.0 -

Are you on Facebook? There are lots of local groups on there that do "stuff for sale" - all just cash collect from your house type things - I made over £60 last year in a week selling some old stuff on there!
If you're not on Facebook, how about Gumtree or Shpock? I'm sure they don't have the ridiculous fees like eBay doI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old Style, Crafting and Techie Stuff boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Had a few mini spends of £16 +, been updating my sig as I spend. Bought houmous, falafel, butternut squash, some salad/fruit stuff, bananas (for ice cream). To make the ice cream, you just peel, freeze and blend (that's it). You can then flavour as you wish. I add coco powder for a chocolate one. Really does taste like creamy ice cream, but is healthy.
An update on the Iceland vegan burgers I previously bought - No Bull - they tasted/smelt just like meat, well to me anyway. I think they might be worth a try for someone who wants to cut back on their meat intake. Bit too realistic for my liking. Any fellow vegans tried them - what did you think?? Hopefully, when I get home later, I will try to meal plan. Got loads of bits n pieces lurking and don't want to waste them. Have updated sig.
I love banana nice cream! Sadly on Slimming World it is synned though
I haven't tried those burgers - all the people who I know who have tried said they are so meaty it put them off, so I don't even want to try them, the thought makes me feel a bit ill!! But for someone cutting down, I agree they'd be great!
Have you seen Vivera have now come to Mr T? I tried the vegan fish goujons, and I have to say - WOW, I loved them!!! WAY better than the Quorn fish fingers!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old Style, Crafting and Techie Stuff boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. I have tried them, but must be one of the few that don't find them that realistic. They are nice, but not something i will rush out to buy again. I prefer Linda McCartney Pulled Pork burgers. However, i would prefer to support Iceland, due to them removing palm oil from all their own brand products. Wish every supermarket would make this step in the right direction.
Can't find my spend from Sunday at work (and think it was cash)!
Had two spends yesterday, one in Morrisons for £6.98 ( went in for wraps, forgetting that they are cheaper in B and M, where i was going anyway). £1.39 spent in B and M. Still forget an iceberg lettuce :mad:GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £123.74/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. On 15th May I had spent £10 for May, what a difference a week makes. Now up to £59.09, plus the drinks budget nearly busted, no surprise there !!0 -
Thanks Elsiepack my ebay tat sales finish this weekend so I will list them on FB selling, gumtree and preloved. Thought there might be some interest, but I'm not offering postage so that's probably why.
Agree with the ridiculous fees - I managed a £3 final value fee the other day for a couple of big items which was amazing.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Did a Tesco shop today, which came to £83.53 so declaring £3.07/£300 under budget for May, however, my mum did a shop for us, which would have taken us over budget so will have a think about what to set for JuneThere is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. This week's total came to £34.66 so on budget for the month. My £35 budget will comfortably allow for 5 veg, 5 herbs and 5 sources of protein plus a few odds and ends. I'm trying to come up with a "mix and match" diet where I never have to eat the same meal twice. Safe to say that it is a work in progress!"A thousand candles can be lit from a single candle without shortening the life of that candle."
I still am Puddleglum - phew!0
