396 spent on a 390 budget. Pay day on Friday so I will need to add a little bit more by then. Really thought it was fourth time lucky. I've looked though and approx £40 of this is alcohol. Three bottles of wine for me (18) and the rest for hubby. I've been really strict with him about booze this month as well as he drinks way to much and it screws us over financially. I've tried it all ways but presently he has to give me x amount a month towards our outgoings. He then pays his own petrol and mobile phone to try and teach him about bills/being responsible and whatever is left he can spend. This leaves him more than enough money but as per usual he's spent all his on beer and has yet again borrowed of friends and family for petrol which has then gone via b. Booze. Hmmm he gets paid at end of month I get paid in 26th. The days in-between are the above alcohol costs. Must be stricter this month as I must admit it's been hard to keep it to 390. If I didn't fund the booze for him those days or have my wine I might add I do think it would be easier. Ah well the joys. I'll check it again later in the week but try again next month xJan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Just popped in to update signature, some hefty spends over the last two weeks as I needed to stock up.
I have some Tsco vouchers but have found if you use them, the next ones they send require a higher spend to get the money off. Am still waiting to score a Sains voucher for money off an online shop. Do they still exist?Grocery challenge 2025: £650/1500 annual budget0 -

I haven't seen any Sainsburys vouchers for a while now. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -

£348.93 so far! Another shop to do and we're camping for 3 nights next week so there'll be treats, GAH! I'll be at least £100 over this month.
I plea bank holidays and sunny weather and that there is no "just one cornetto" your honour :rotfl:
On the plus side it's salad season so this weekend I've planted 24 lettuces, a pepper, some swiss chard and 3 tomato plants so I won't be buying somuch salad across the summer.Officially in a clique of idiots0 -

I've had quite a few this year (valid online or in-store) but haven't used all of them. The earlier ones in the year were £6-£8 off but needed a much higher spend than I need. Last month's were all £3 off a £20 spend (I think I used 3/5) and last week I received 4 more - 2 of £3 off £20 spends and 2 of £4 off £20 spends. Guess which ones I'll be using?
I wonder if it depends on which part of the country you live in?
I've also had till spit vouchers for extra points, most of which have been useful as they were for things I normally buy anyway but last Friday I didn't get any at all - useful or otherwise!Be kind to others and to yourself too.0
