Hi, do we know this information is legit?
    Happyhooker44 stated in one post:
 4th Oct 18, 7:08 PM

"The car park in question is owned by Kingsbury Tool and Jig Company 1998 Ltd., they don’t have planning permission to use the land as a car park and neither do HX Parking to erect signage and ANPR cameras. I submitted a freedom of information request to the council as I’m challenging a PCN on behalf of my wife issued in March 2018."

I'm struggling to find the freedom of information request on WHATDOTHEYKNOW

Hi, the information IS definitely legit.
I submitted a Freedom of Information request to Wigan Council a few weeks ago, and got my reply via email this morning.

I'll assume it is from the County Court Business Centre in Northampton. Please confirm.

With a Claim Issue Date of 25th February, you have until Monday 18th March to do the Acknowledgement of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it. To do the AoS, follow the guidance offered in a Dropbox link from post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread. About ten minutes work - no thinking required.

Having done the AoS, you have until 4pm on Monday 1st April 2019 to file your Defence.

That's a month away. Loads of time to produce a perfect Defence, but don't leave it to the very last minute.

When you are happy with the content, your Defence should be filed via email as suggested here:
      Print your Defence.
    1. Sign it and date it.
    2. Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
    3. Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
    4. Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
    5. Log into MCOL after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defended". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
    6. Do not be surprised to receive a copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire, they are just trying to put you under pressure.
    7. Wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to find out exactly what to do with it.

Yes it is County Court Business Centre in Northampton.

I've just been reading the Newbies thread to refresh everything, it's so long ago that I read it.

    Going to do AOS now

The procedure seems to have changed since the guide to MCOL & how to acknowledge service was posted in the Newbies thread, the only option to click is Login or Register, that takes you straight to government gateway website (https://www.access.tax.service.gov.uk/login/signin/creds)

You're the first person to mention that.

Several people have done an AoS today, and all this week, for months in fact, without comment.

Maybe if you are using the Gov Gateway for other things, e.g. tax, there might be a slight difference.

It was just to make a Government Gateway Id, after that was made it went to the same page as the Newbie thread says

I had used it for tax before, I tried firefox and chrome just incase it was that, both did the same, but maybe I had used them both before for tax returns
