I actually can't believe that people are defending TSB nearly 24 hrs after they said it would be back online and people are still experiencing problems. Myself included !
For example i wanted to send a payment so i decided to log in using my iphone x to do it via face ID but oops no can do its down. I then tried via my ipad but during the payment transfer it froze and said they are having problems yes i'm aware of that.
So for the people who are defending TSB its us poor customers that are to blame rather than the bank whose had 3 days to do this maintenance.0 -

So just make the payment from your NatWest account instead. Problem solved.
TSB are clearly to blame, but part of the problem is customers 'having a look' to see if it is broken which is exacerbating the problems for customers who have a real need to do something.
Let them get on and fix the problems, then complain and/or seek compensation after the event if you have been genuinely inconvenienced."In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -

You do seem to like defending banks all power to you if thats how you choose to spend your afternoons.
i see you accept that TSB are at fault rather than the customer thats a start. We are only doing what we need to do if we didn't have to log into TSB do you think we would. its not just see if its broken but to actually do something make a payment etc
i have numerous other bank accounts but TSB is my main bank account nearly 24 hrs after the maintenance was supposed to be concluded i'm still not able to access my account.0 -
Who is defending TSB? You seem to be recycling your tired old arguments from the NatWest failure.0

"TSB, which is now owned by Spain's Banco de Sabadell". I wasn't even aware than there was links to a Spanish bank.0

TSB probably misread the press release about the proposal to make the name days of the national patron saints bank holidays - they assumed it meant that today, St George's day, was a bank holiday, so no rush to fix the problems....0

@Pearl123:
TSB was ordered to be de-merged from LloydsTSB group by the EU to improve competition in the retail sector
The newly independent TSB was later bought by Sabadell in 2015
If any of you have ever had major work done in your house then you will know that such major projects almost never finish on time: such is life, there is always some unexpected problem.0 -

Use telephone banking.
Yes, it may be irritating that the system is not working properly, but you were notified in advance of the work and, while it has overrun, the period you were without the ability to perform transactions has not been significantly affected. You can make your transactions, but not on your iPhone X or iPad: talk about first world problems!
Here's a link to a page on the WHO website to remind you that some people in the world actually have real issues to deal with: http://www.who.int/emergencies/famine/en/0 -

Its not maintenance, its an upgrade. Obviously it hasn't gone quite the way anyone wanted but that's the reality of IT. You really get angry over anything (on purpose).0
