TSB customers were made aware of the new URL by email.
I have no memory of that. I did read the emails: that's why late last week I moved our surplus money out to the Bank of Somewhere Else. I hope it's ready by tomorrow: we have Standing Orders due out.
I hope people here will keep reporting the status quo; I'm grateful to everyone who has done so up till now.Free the dunston one next time too.0 -
This is the service status page:-

As you can see, as of 11.10 hrs, internet and mobile banking are down. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

I've not tried it myself, but the phone banking system is reported to be working fine, if there was an emergency account servicing issue that cannot wait until the system is back up and running properly.
It is a salutary reminder to people not to rely on one current account with one banking group though."In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -

Online Bank account access is essential nowadays with already limited number of branches available with TSB its not practical to go into the bank most days so online is the only way you can service the account.
*****Breaking news*****

In any case the team(s) having a break and coming back refreshed after x hours and days such that they can work through the issues in front of them might well have been the sensible decision on a way forward.
The fact is that you can throw all the people you want at these issues the knowledge on specific problems may well lie within a few key people.
What would you prefer them to work constantly for days without a break?!
You are quite right, it is just conjecture on my part because I read it on Twitter. Presumably they had cause to write it, but I have no proof, which is why I used the word apparently.
I am not clamouring for the poor IT workers to continue without breaks, and I sorted my needs in advance as notification was plentiful. (Calling them poor is conjecture in itself!). But if reports are true that all the relevant employees have simply gone home when there is a major IT outage/problem, I think thats poor.0 -
It's very, very, VERY unusual for software devs/engineers to just drop sticks and leave bang on 6pm, if there is a problem. Especially something as big as this.
It's also unlikely that Customer Service would have the full picture or have the full inside knowledge of what the IT team's plans are.
However, as mentioned earlier, sometimes it is best to leave the problem and come back to it with fresh heads. But even then that would be probably about 10pm.0 -

They just do a basic cost/benefit analysis - it's a one off event.
People who've been with them with years won't move and those who who moved to them for the goodies won't move.
Those that complain will be recompensed.

When I log in with my app all I get is the word information and nothing else.
Also tried to login online and keeps telling me the information entered is incorrect even though I have not changed any details.0 -
Interesting........it's doing much the same thing for the wife and for me.
Allows logins with the usual passwords, but trying to make a payment (which involves re-entering the password) fails because the password is suddenly incorrect.
Anyone else finding the identical (or similar) issue?0
