My husband rang half an hour ago to say that according to the radio news, they are apologising for the problems, but he then added that they have wiped some people's accounts. He didn't know whether it was just online or the actual accounts.

Back in but most of my CC statements have gone, only Jan and Mar 2018 are there.

    And just kicked me off.

A cluster!!!!, as they would say on the other side of the Atlantic.

Is this fact or just conjecture by you and others?

In any case the team(s) having a break and coming back refreshed after x hours and days such that they can work through the issues in front of them might well have been the sensible decision on a way forward.

The fact is that you can throw all the people you want at these issues the knowledge on specific problems may well lie within a few key people.

What would you prefer them to work constantly for days without a break?!

TSB should hire as many IT people as needed to complete the Maintenance in the time they quoted. Bank accounts would have been offline since 4pm friday its 9am monday with still ongoing problems.

Online Bank account access is essential nowadays with already limited number of branches available with TSB its not practical to go into the bank most days so online is the only way you can service the account.

Sorry, Internet Banking is currently unavailable.

We're carrying out essential maintenance so please try again later. We're sorry for any inconvenience.

Oh well, I will try again later.
The strange thing is if you click on the status page it says internet banking and the app are now up, but clearly they aren't.

The rumour mill and people reporting balance errors won't help as people will be panicking. Luckily its my financially quiet week, everything is done by mid-month and just waiting for the next wage payment for it to all cycle.

People have to remember money is safeguarded so anything going wrong will be recovered - the panic of "someone else's bank account showing" is surely about in case funds are withdrawn. Though hopefully screenshots have been taken if someone elses details are showing as that is a serious data breach.

If you go to the old URL you get that, they obviously have failed to set up a re-direct. Go to
    https://internetbanking.tsb.co.uk/personal/logon/login/#/login

    URL working OK for me.

Agree they have completely messed up though. Why not redirect the old log in page to the TSB home page ?

The old online URL just says unavailable - TSB customers were made aware of the new URL by email. The homepage is linked to the new URL, but the new URL takes you to the maintenance page - unless its a cache problem, but tried different browsers.

I use "fustercluck" myself. It carries a useful implication of headless chickens.
