Even so, thats the worst collection of reviews I've EVER seen about a company0

Don't do it!! I ordered a toilet, basin with pedestal and mixer tap and was messed about no end .... it was a nightmare trying to get through to customer services to keep chasing up my order (the money was debited from me striaght away!) I had to keep chasing them up and would have gladly cancelled my order but couldn't get hold of the same style elsewhere! When I did receive the order the pedestal was cracked down the front so i then had to sort out a replacement.
I did use Plumbworld to order the shower enclosure and kitchen sink and was so pleased with the prompt service provided and their customer services were first class!!0 -
I ordered my bathroom from VP as they looked extremely reasonably priced - now I know why!! Martin would be tutting at me now I think :money: !! It's definitely a case of "you get what you pay for". Avoid at all costs. The bathroom itself is of an extremely low standard - all the products are inferior - my taps drip, my shower doesn't work properly and the toilet seat doesn't fit!
But, best of all - try and replace any of these things and you'll have a lovely, stressful time! First, they promise to return your call within 48 hours - well, I don't know about you but 48 hours isn't good enough for me! And then, they DONT ring you back within 48 hours so you have to chase them again!
You cannot talk to anyone with a bit of initiative or sense - it is another faceless, anonymous call centre where they won't let you speak to anyone with any authority.
I was told I would get a call back in another 24 hours (after already waiting 4 days!) when they had spoken to a 'technical operative'. How, a 'technical operative' can diagnose the problem with my leaking tap 100 miles away, I'll never know!! I can see another fight coming when they ring me back!!
PLEASE, FOLLOW MY ADVICE AND GO TO BATHSTORE.COM OR ANOTHER REPUTABLE DEALER WHERE YOU CAN GO AND LOOK AT THE PRODUCTS AND RETURN THEM BY DRIVING THERE!!     :mad:0 -
Ok. We ordered a bathroom suite and an ensuite in ceramic with taps etc in august. Due to holidays etc, we didnt get round to fitting till Mid september and now we are nearly finished. As i helped the delivery driver unpack (this breaks their terms and conditions), i could see no damage to any of the boxes whatsoever, therefore i signed the delivery sheet unexamined.
As i come to install the last item, a Toilet, the cistern was cracked and damaged. NO Damage to box. I rang VP, asking for a replacement. They said i had to email pictures and a complaint. I did. I was told to wait for 24hours for someone to come back to me. I waitied 72 hours. Finally, i got Rachel Bracha's name. They said that because you didn't report it as being faulty within 72hours of receipt, SORRY. You can if you wish, buy a replacement for £45.00 + £46.00 delivery. FOR A CISTERN !!?? !!!!!!?????
Right. As those goods were obviously damaged in transit to them, or to me....they are FAULTY....which is where we currently lie. If i don't get a response within 24hours...its going to be bad for Vicky Plumb.
Suggestions anyone? 'Cos i dont think i have a good word for VP at the moment.:T Casa de ora :T

Casadeora, don't know if your problem has been sorted but after I sent them the following letter (by post) they phoned me the next day! This was after 3 months of emails, photos, calls etc. Just replace my details with yours. Hope it helps because they are the worst company I've ever dealt with and will never buy from them again. Good luck.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I purchased a New York Basin and Pedestal from victoriaplumb.com on the 9th of October 2007 for £163.48 and since June 2008 cracks have appeared all over the basin. I have sent numerous emails with photographs of the cracks and phoned customer services but no-one from Victoriaplumb has contacted me to resolve this problem.
The basin is not of not of satisfactory quality as stated in the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended) and I wish to reject the goods and claim a replacement, including fitting costs.
Please respond to my complaint within 14 days from receipt of this letter.
Yours faithfully,0 -
Its times like this and I am sorry for the staff but companies that treat there customer bad deserve to go bust0

WELL.....After contacting consumer direct, i told them about the 72hours rejection clause. The CD people stated that as i was a consumer, this 72hours didn't concern me. Therefore under the sales of goods act, it should be replaced. I emailed them a very strongly worded email and within 2hours got a replacement sorted.
Amazing really...so its worthwhile people sticking to their guns. Personally i wouldn't give them 7-10days. Give them 24hours. It works....
But your letter example is correct.....:T Casa de ora :T

As a subscriber to 25 Beautiful homes I had seen their brochure and products featured so i thought i would give them a go. Spent just over £1000 on my two bathrooms and saved a fortune against similar looking stuff from B&Q and Bathstore. Everything was delivered on time and my plumber was really impressed with the quality, even though he said the instructions could be a bit better! HAve to say that the products look great and feel pretty smug about the money i saved! Would gladly recommend and have!0

I've bought things from this company too. The products were OK, although non-standard so fittings etc can be hard to come by. But I found their customer service dreadful, difficult to get anyone on the phone, everyone blaming problems on another department, deliveries being left at another address, etc. I think if everything goes OK, then you've got quite a good deal, if anything goes wrong, then expect a bit of a nightmare.0

People arnt interested in the good reviews, people want to know how you deal with problems and faults with your goods and service, looking at this topic alone i would you deal with these issues in a poor and unproffessional way
I sometimes cant understand why people use these web based stockists, Most sell low quality junk with a high markup
As a bathroom fitter i see alot of low grade rubbish, plenty buy from plumbworld thinking they have got themselves a bargain only to have to buy again when i point out poor castings, oval waste pipe connections etc
Support your local trade counters/stockists,The likes of PTS will deal with the public and give a fair discount,In return most items are in stock( or within 48hrs), genuine trade products and a aftersales service that you can deal with face to faceHi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
